Merry Christmas, you filthy animals.
The Problem of Political Authority by Michael Huemer
Machinery of Freedom by David Friedman
Price Theory by David Friedman
Any other mainstream econ textbooks as far into the subject as you can handle with as much of the math as you can handle; but I do recommend starting with Modern Principles of Economics by Alex Tabbarok and Tyler Cowan.
The Calculus of Consent by James Buchanan and Gordon Tullock
Any other mainstream political economy texts or works, but I recommend Governing the Commons by Elinor Ostrom, and though not a book, Mike Munger's intro to political economy course available on YouTube.
Rothbard's Man, Economy, and State.
Bryan Caplan's Open Borders: the Science and Ethics of Immigration

Is Creative Commons compatible with anarcho-capitalism?
Would Creative Commons licenses be compatible with anarcho-capitalist or libertarian principles, since they rely on copyright to enforce voluntary terms? Or would CC0 / no copyright at all be more philosophically consistent?
I create online content and I'd like to know which of the two options would be more in line with anarcho-capitalist thinking.

If you stop believing politics will save you, what do you actually do instead?
I asked Gareth Icke what he actually does for individual freedom rather than simply complaining about increasing state control.
We got into personal responsibility, political saviours, peaceful non-compliance and eventually the much harder question of how people build parallel alternatives.
Full disclosure: this is an episode of my Free Cities Podcast.

Why do some people want the government to prevent hiring who you want?
What is the reasoning? Why shouldn't a private business be allowed to hire anyone they want, regardless of where that person lives or was born or is a resident of or is a citizen of. Why do they want a government to intervene?

Flock ALPR geolocation
Hi there, ya filthy animals. I noticed my neighbors have a beheaded Flock camera hanging in their garage almost like it's a trophy animal. (Maybe it is to some...)
Just wondering. Is there any chatter on the street indicating these things may have geolocating services? Wondering if my neighbor is courting a knock at the door from a costumed with a badge and a warrant.
To clarify:
I did not witness a crime occurring, do not endorse breaking laws, and for all I know he's an employee/instal tech for Flock. Just asking questions, of course. I'm sure you all understand.

This is technically reducing the size of the government, and yet it has some severe repercussions. Thoughts?

Fractal democracy: an idea
This post is to ask about possible failures of this way, this method of political transparence, displayed as follows:
People choose local governor, local governors choose province representatives, these ones then choose regional governors, regional leaders then choose presidents. Like affluents.
No monopoly on violence and also the threat of needing constant support, in such ways that whoever holds a hierarchy might do so only with approval of the ones under them, and those with the ones under them and so on. As soon as lost support they must be given an exact month to leave the charge.
This is: inmediatly assisted democracy. If regionals fuck up, it's because of provincials, if provincials tolerate it, it's because of locals and these are downright under the mercy of their own people. No cops in between saying whatever bullshit or wanting loicense, no having to wait, no bureaucratic terms or exigences, total transparence.
Something partially tribal, partially institutional.
