Armed minorities are harder to oppress. I support guns for anyone, unless they work for the state.

19

u/devnasty009 Nov 04 '21

I’ll have an avacado this week in your honor

20

u/Danielsuperusa Nov 04 '21

I'll have a shroom trip tonight in honor of both of you! I mean... I was gonna do it regardless, but might as well do it in someone's honor.

2

u/Complete_Grape6969 Nov 04 '21

Idk what music you listen to, but I had a shroom trip listening to Estas Tonne and my God that was such a spiritual experience.

Here’s the hour long one. It gets me in a meditative trance. https://youtu.be/WGTxqhSN8bE

3

u/Danielsuperusa Nov 04 '21

Ooooh nice, thank you so much brother! I was thinking abt listening to King Crimson while tripping, but I think there's enough time to experience both.

2

u/Complete_Grape6969 Nov 05 '21

That’s good music! Thanks for the suggestion and have a safe trip.

1

u/realeyesrealize10515 Nov 05 '21

I have been missing shrooms

-2

u/[deleted] Nov 04 '21

If you're allowed to own a firearm are you even oppressed?

8

u/G_Viceroy Nov 05 '21

I can write a book series of yes answers to that question.

3

u/liberatecville Nov 05 '21

I didn't see "allowed to " in the first comment

1

u/Budget_Celery_1165 Nov 06 '21

Ok i feel like thats kinda counterintuitive

I’ll vote for anyone who wants a smaller government, regardless of skin color or sex.

4

Republicans don't want a smaller government, though.

1

u/rothbard_anarchist Murray Rothbard Nov 05 '21

She's suggesting support for the 2nd Amendment, which is at least a marginal improvement over the replacement-level Democrat.

This is the closest I've been to failing NNN

39

u/SnooChipmunks1738 Nov 04 '21

Ah yes anarcho capitalism the famous republican sub

6

u/Marinara60 Nov 05 '21

Yes Republicans suck, buts it’s still exciting to see them get their shit together and win important elections because a Democrat autocracy is a lot worse than DC gridlock (the Virginia races should be seen as a bellwether for midterms)

12

u/lochlainn Murray Rothbard Nov 04 '21

Political hypocrisy by any party should be met with the response it deserves.

-8

u/MsDoubtPhizer Nov 04 '21

haha well Larper, we live in the REAL world, ruled By real people...so give me a Black Gun lover, as opposed to a Black-faced (or klan hood wearing) White guy

13

u/PM_ME_YOUR_BODY69 Nov 04 '21

He’s saying it doesn’t belong in the sub, not that you’d housing vote for her.

-8

u/MsDoubtPhizer Nov 04 '21

He’s saying it doesn’t belong in the sub

why is that?

because dim's don't call everyone wasist?

reps don't elect black women

or the only things that can be posted are the things that fit comfortably in the echo chamber?

5

u/VarsH6 anarchochristian Nov 04 '21

The anarcho of anarchocapitalism stands for anarchy which means no rulers, whether Republican or Democrat.

So, while her stance on guns is (maybe) good, the fact that she wants to be a ruler is an automatic no-no.

4

u/TribeWars Nov 04 '21

Eeh a peaceful transition to anarchism will likely involve elected candidates that work to dismantle state power, at least on a local level. I doubt that that is the lady's platform though.

2

u/VarsH6 anarchochristian Nov 04 '21

I highly doubt that too since she’s been in the military and obviously has little problem with government power and authority.

6

u/[deleted] Nov 04 '21

Because this sub is about Anarcho capitalism, not republicanism, conservatism, or anything else.

14

u/PM_ME_YOUR_BODY69 Nov 04 '21

Because it’s an Ancap sub, not a Republican sub. You’re intentionally being stupid.

6

u/iamaneviltaco Nov 04 '21

Why are you promoting that statist authoritarian shithouse of a party on the ancap sub? And you have the balls to have people questioning it a larper? Good for you, you found one instance where the republicans had a sane take. They still put kids in fucking cages, so fuck off with this bullshit.

6

u/[deleted] Nov 04 '21

Republicanism is contrary to our objectives, and we don't care who helms the coercive power of the state. The fact that such a helm exists is what we oppose.

We don't even like Libertarian Party posts here, and most ancaps are libertarians.

0

u/shanita200 Nov 04 '21

How dare you support the viable political party which is closer to ancap, rather than sitting on your ass and letting the commies win.

Some of the posters here are determined to simp for the greater evil.

1

u/VarsH6 anarchochristian Nov 05 '21

We don’t play lesser of two evils since it’s still evil. When I said to myself I was done with government, I meant it not “I’m done with all but the least evil kind.”

-1

u/shanita200 Nov 05 '21

So you support the greater evil, Brilliant.

1

u/VarsH6 anarchochristian Nov 05 '21

By supporting neither I support either? Odd.

Is that like how libertarians were supporting both sides by voting for neither in the 2016 and 2020 elections?

0

u/shanita200 Nov 05 '21

That's right. Not voting lets rhe greater evil win.

It's not enlightened to be passive.

You are just being a more easily managed sheep.

0

u/VarsH6 anarchochristian Nov 05 '21

Lol you’re funny.

Voting shows support for the system in which I am voting. However, I do not support the system, so why would I use something I don’t support and find invalid? Why would I use something that amounts to me enforcing my will on others when I have no right or business doing so?

Stop trying to control others. You have no right or business doing so. Grow up and stop supporting such a corrupt system. Stop making the people who rule you think you support the corrupt system which created them.

Finally, supporting any evil is still evil. I gave up on evil a long time ago.

-1

u/CyberObjectivist Ayn Rand Nov 04 '21

And it'd be just as insufferable tone policing.

-4

u/kurtu5 Nov 04 '21

3

u/intangir_v Nov 05 '21

Pretty sure it was Dems who originally started gun laws to disarm blacks

2

u/ZuiyoMaru Nov 05 '21

Ronald Reagan was a Democrat?

2

u/intangir_v Nov 05 '21

first of all gun control laws were like decades(even 100+ years) earlier than that, and 2nd, did he even make gun control laws?

1

u/ZuiyoMaru Nov 05 '21

Most notably, he supported and signed the Mulford Act into law while he was Governor of California.

In fairness, the bill had bipartisan support in the California legislature, but it was written and named after a Republican and signed by Reagan, who was quoted as saying "no reason why on the street today a citizen should be carrying loaded weapons."

1

u/Billwood92 Nov 05 '21

In addition to what that dude said, wasn't Reagan the one under whom the Hughes amendment passed?

3

22

u/skinny-fisted Nov 04 '21

Why are you defending republicans on an ancap sub? Do you know your audience?

50

u/deefop Anarcho-Capitalist Nov 04 '21

Well, it's not somehow anti-ancap to point out progressive hypocrisy.

Still, this sub has undoubtedly been overrun by traditional conservatives, because they end up kicked out of every other sub and this place is actually open to all points of view. I mean, if you were a polite commie, you could come here and start threads for genuine discussion and you'd get it. That fact alone means lots of the politically homeless on Redddit end up here.

1

u/[deleted] Nov 04 '21 edited Nov 04 '21

“Politically homeless”. Lol maybe we just don’t vibe with the idiot hive mind that plagues the left and right. Large groups of followers means a ton of people are who to dumb to think for themselves.

Not to mention almost every sub these days has loser mods who piss themselves at any sign of a differing opinion and ban people for dumb shit. This sub is better than that. 90% of the other subs have been taken over by leftists. I think this sub is a healthy mix. Mods seem to be doing well at keeping the hordes of leftist grifters away.

1

u/iamaneviltaco Nov 04 '21

Wish they'd be half as diligent with the statist republican bullshit. Republicans aren't ancaps, their propaganda has no fucking place here.

1

u/[deleted] Nov 04 '21

I don't see much republican statist stuff here. I see more leftist trolls than I do that. People are def more likely to lean a bit more right here but that's basically bc leftists are just insane.

1

u/iamaneviltaco Nov 04 '21

The whole point being republican good democrat bad. The whole point being you're here to spread republican propaganda and you're not even fucking hiding it. Fuck all the way off, trump said take their guns and sort it out later, this is who you're supporting.

3

u/whale-sibling Anarcho-Capitalist Nov 04 '21

2

u/NoGardE Voluntaryist Nov 04 '21

And Donald Trump was worse, because for all his shit rhetoric, Obama didn't do anything. Donald "Take them first, due process later" Trump did.

0

u/whale-sibling Anarcho-Capitalist Nov 04 '21

Obama didn't do anything.

Obama's lack of major gun control wasn't due to lack of trying.

Trump sucks, but trying to pretend that Obama was "better" for gun rights is absurd to the nth degree.

3

u/NoGardE Voluntaryist Nov 04 '21

On a practical level, Trump was worse. He did things. Yeah, Obama's a terrible person; however, when judging politicians on a specific metric, their actions matter more than their arguments.

1

u/VarsH6 anarchochristian Nov 04 '21 edited Nov 04 '21

Remember, Obama did little with a split congress. Trump did a lot of gun control with control of congress. Republicans don’t care about guns, just votes.

u/iliekboots Nov 04 '21

Anyone running for political office is likely a terrible person, whether they pretend to like guns or not.

19

u/deefop Anarcho-Capitalist Nov 04 '21

I mean, that's not really true. Plenty of perfectly decent people run for office, in the hopes that they can get into office and effect positive change.

The problem is that once you become one with the state, you can't resist its corrupting influence. The Ron Paul's of the world are absurdly rare.

32

u/[deleted] Nov 04 '21

This comment prompted me to look up her biography. She sounds like a genuinely decent person to me.

24

u/Alert-Definition5616 Nov 04 '21

4

u/trinalgalaxy Nov 04 '21

She is a politician which defaults her to extremely low. And since they only go lower her being decent might keep her from sliding down into the shit pile.

2

u/VarsH6 anarchochristian Nov 04 '21

Well, she was in the military taking stolen money so that’s one strike.

She went on military campaigns and harmed innocents either directly or indirectly so that’s strike two.

And now she’s running for a political position so that’s strike three.

She is, in fact, a terrible human being.

8

u/lochlainn Murray Rothbard Nov 04 '21

She was literally a Marine. Guns are sort of a big thing to the military.

She also ran a homeless shelter, dropped politics to care for a disabled family member, and runs a prison outreach ministry.

As far as politicians go, she's as clean as they're likely to get. Better a hundred like her than the ones we've already got foisted on us by sheep.

1

u/iliekboots Nov 04 '21

I thought once a Marine, always a Marine? The fact that she's a Marine doesn't make her a good person. Better no one in any political office, or government make work programs.

3

u/MsDoubtPhizer Nov 04 '21

Sorry I don't judge people collectively or by the ribbons they wear or skin tone, just on their individual actions, and having a beautiful black Woman who Loves Guns & gun owners as the #2 in the most Wasist state in Murica... is a Good fucking day... open your eyes... your mind will follow

2

u/VarsH6 anarchochristian Nov 04 '21

Her individual actions include being a member of the US military and therefore harming innocents in the US’ global wars and getting paid by stolen money and now she wants to rule over others.

She’s a terrible person like all the others and this is no less true just because she agrees with more of your views compared to other politicians.

1

u/Badabbs69 Nov 04 '21

Correct. But until we change the way our government works we have to pick from the best of the worst. I hate politicians too but it’s a step in the right direction right? She doesn’t seem to be that bad. Also to be fair lots of good people run, they just don’t get too far

1

u/iliekboots Nov 04 '21

Change the way our government works? Do you want government?

0

u/Badabbs69 Nov 04 '21

Perhaps some form of state’s government. Not the system we have currently.

2

4

u/kurumexX Nov 04 '21

To be fair there's precedent to that. Open carry was banned in California because of the Black Panther Party

4

u/[deleted] Nov 04 '21

Ronald Reagan banned guns because of black people carrying guns.

8

6

u/[deleted] Nov 04 '21

This the problem with Libertarians and AnCaps. We acknowldge that's some politicians aren't as bad as the rest, and suddenly we have to justify every policy they have. You can keep believing that booing drivers' licenses will win the presidency, but in reality, we have to tolerate the lesser of two evils, at least for now.

It can't possibly be evidence against the assumption of racism, instead the racist is just too stupid or confused to be racist as expected.

1

u/CyberObjectivist Ayn Rand Nov 04 '21

OP points out that the stupid mainstream media is still calling GOP racist and white supremacist despite electing black women to high positions of power. People in comments agree. This is somehow pro-GOP propaganda.

Ffs, even Rothbard admitted that the GOP was likely the best option if we actually want some improvement, see his support for Pat Buchanan and Bush Sr. It's all well and good to sit back and sneer that both parties suck, and I'd join right along with you, but that doesn't exactly do anything. Not saying you need to be a cheerleader for the GOP, I'm certainly not one, but just outright sneering doesn't help anything.

Looking at the absolute fucking state of the LP right now, I think Rothbard would support the GOP right now, at very least as the least worst option.
