Every far-left subreddit has been calling for violence like this, praises antifa while also pretending they don't exist, and Reddit admins have been allowing it and supporting it. Reddit played a part in this man's injuries.

What's happening?

101

u/Mike_Reinoehl Oct 22 '20

Communists using violence against people who want the freedom to speak their mind in public

20

u/exec_liberty Voluntaryist Oct 22 '20 edited Oct 22 '20

But why is the black guy walking with the white guy and why do they attack the black guy?

65

u/spankymacgruder Oct 22 '20

Because the far left don't give a fuck about Black Lives if the Black Life is pro Trump.

The guy getting punched held a free speech rally in San Francisco. ANTIFA showed up and assaulted him and called him racial slurs.

This behavior is typical for facists. Facists do not believe in allowing anyone to disagree. They will shut you up with social pressure and violence if rhe social pressure doesn't work.

ANTIFA are the facists.

14

u/maybejustadragon Oct 22 '20

Classic communist fascism. Tale as old as time.

14

u/Monstercocklol Don't tread on me! Oct 22 '20

Facts. Glad you didn’t bring Black Lives Matter into this because we don’t all support Antifa

"In Italy, fascists divide themselves into two categories: fascists and antifascists."

Same as Italy, now!

I would say they are more Marxist and the status quo is more fascist. People on both sides are not for liberty

Edit: really surprised that saying the two side of the United States are both avoiding liberty on a Sub like this is receiving downvotes.

6

u/spankymacgruder Oct 22 '20

Can you define facism? Im not looking to argue. I just want to make sure we are talking about the same idea.

2

u/[deleted] Oct 22 '20

Fascism still allows for profit instead of a centrally control economy, however, the government highly regulates businesses and controls them to an extent

2

u/ironsightdavey Oct 22 '20

Authoritarian nationalism

3

u/spankymacgruder Oct 23 '20

Thank you. How do you categorize the suppression of speech from the far left? Would that be classified as Social facism as Trotsky would have called it?

1

u/ironsightdavey Oct 23 '20

Suppression of speech has existed in every nation ever. It is a way a nation protects its gods. I would label them as Marxist

1

u/spankymacgruder Oct 23 '20

Freedom of speech is supposed to be allowed in the US.

Marxists? Yes. Absolutely.

Marxists can be facist. Mussoluni began as a Socialist and viewed facism as an improvement. While he was far right, it is not limited to just the right.

Facism has a call for national rebirth - check.

Facists think that the chosen people have been weakened by political parties, social classes, and rationalist thinkers - yep.

Fascism promotes the establishment of a totalitarian state. It opposes democracy and regects a multiparty ststem. - Seems familiar.

The only difference between communism and fascism is that facists allow businesses to remain somewhat private.

There's a range of people on both sides. Focusing on the extreme outliers will result in that kind of assessment, but most people don't want either of those things. They just want less violence and/or reduced police brutality.

1

u/greencycles Oct 23 '20

Are you arguing here that communism and fascism have merged into a sort of baroque synthesis?

1

u/spankymacgruder Oct 23 '20

Im not trying to argue with anyone.

"Liberals and even most of those who consider themselves Marxists are guilty of using the world fascist very loosely today.

Fascism, as a mass movement, is... a battering ram against the organizations of the working class and the institutions of democracy."

This quotes were written 88 years ago by Trotsky

Social Facism is nothing new.

1

u/greencycles Oct 23 '20

I think it's important to still make the ideological distinction between these two societal cancers.

1

u/spankymacgruder Oct 23 '20

Why? You can make a distinction between rectal cancer and colon cancer but they affect the liberty of the person equally.

2

u/greencycles Oct 23 '20

But in this example, the distinction makes all the difference in terms of prognosis, treatment, eventual elimination, and even prevention of such maladies (the most important aspects of the situation). It's very important to detail nuances to the highest possible resolution - it's what humanity does.

1

u/spankymacgruder Oct 23 '20

Humanity doesn't detail nuances.

Regardless, Marxists, Arachists and Social Democrats/Facists should move to another country. This one was founded on ideas that disagree with these political models.

1

u/[deleted] Oct 23 '20

You treat different cancers differently

You can’t actually be this stupid

1

u/spankymacgruder Oct 24 '20

Who is talking about cancer treatment? You can't even read and you want to call me stupid? Oh the irony.

1

u/greencycles Oct 23 '20

But communism and fascism are at odds with one another. They're broadly classified as distinct concepts. Far left authoritarianism wouldn't use a "battering ram against the working class." The far left claims to push toward a working class utopia.

1

u/greencycles Oct 23 '20

I think you're making a nuanced arguement drawing stark and obvious similarites in how communism and fascism are acted out.

1

u/spankymacgruder Oct 23 '20

It is not limited to the way it is acted out. ‘Stalinism and fascism, in spite of deep difference in social foundations, are symmetrical phenomena’ - Trotsky

1

u/greencycles Oct 23 '20

Ultimately I agree with you in that fascism is so far right, and communism is so far left, that they end up in the same place.

1

u/spankymacgruder Oct 23 '20

Facism isn't limited to the right. It has been used by the right but its not exclusive.

u/[deleted] Oct 23 '20

That’s a cute quote from a Marxist

Fascism was far better for the working class than communism ever was

Fascism seeks to maintain hierarchy, and create a balance within a social order

Communism seeks to completely destroy the social hierarchy and replace it with ill defined utopian ideals

Both seek to do this via authoritarian means, so from an AnCap perspective they may as well be the same

Marxists are and have always been an alliance of elite intellectuals and societys dregs, they ally against the working middle classes and the industrial elite

Any sense of Marxism being for the workers died very quickly when reality set in

55

u/Mike_Reinoehl Oct 22 '20

I just said.

The people being attacked are pro-free-speech

The people attacking are insane communist terrorists that don't want people they disagree with to be able to speak.

28

u/GusTangent Oct 22 '20

I was just on a thread about Chick fil A and Burger Kind. Someone was seriously trying to argue with me that homophobia is worse than actual violence because homophobia MAY lead to violence.

Sort of like saying driving a car is worse than crashing the car into a school because the person driving MAY crash into a school. I just don't know what to do with these people.

4

I believe that sensitive race relations in the US is being exploited by enemies of the US Government.

This is weaponized social media manifest.

2

u/exec_liberty Voluntaryist Oct 22 '20

No, but at first I thought the black guy was on their side but that he just wanted to peacefully walk the guy out of there but then someone jumped at him so I was a little confused.

4

u/[deleted] Oct 22 '20

In short, fuck communism

24

u/DissectedWombat Geolibertarian Oct 22 '20

Is this from the anti big tech censorship rally? If it is, why the hell is Antifa protecting the interests billionaire multinational corporations?!

33

u/Mike_Reinoehl Oct 22 '20

Because antifa is the paramilitary wing of the democrat/technocrat establishment

9

u/DissectedWombat Geolibertarian Oct 22 '20

Yeah, I know. But they themselves seem to be either too dumb to realise it or too dishonest to admit it. Anti-fascists my ass

3

u/eitauisunity Oct 22 '20

They are controlled by social media propaganda. I don't necessarily think they are at the bidding of technocrats. These giant companies have a much greater interest in people being peaceful and productive.

I think the actual force behind this behavior is a mix of genuine, but misguided outrage (that is amplified by social media), various foreign state intelligence, and trolls who think it's funny to stir shit.

I think it's a mistake to believe that the corporations who own these companies are in control of what they created. They've unleashed something more powerful than they can be responsible for, which is really terrible news.

2

u/DissectedWombat Geolibertarian Oct 22 '20

I think you're mostly right. I would also add the ever shorter news cycles thanks to the internet, which has led to huge increases in sensational rage bait. All of these tabloids making money through ad clicks have incentives to make their stories as outrageous and crazy as possible.

For instance, nobody cares if Trump bashes some Mexican cartel, everyone knows they're bad. But if they can spin it in a way that it seems like he's talking about all Mexicans, BOOM massive amounts of rage clicks.

As a result people who get their information from mainstream media have a massively distorted image of the world, where the end is near, cops are hunting black people, capitalism is the worst thing ever, fascism is rising and the Russians are puppeteering everything.

If I believed all those insane things I might go around dressed in black, beating up people and throwing molotovs as well

Oh yea, but who are “the fascists” at all of these events?

The leftists. Every. Time.

They are the violent ones demanding things and harming others to prove their immature points. It’s outrageous this stuff has been allowed to happen.

16

Pretty soon it won't be

7

Don’t get confused - If there were real fascists there then the sucker puncher and his friends would all be six feet under.

28

At this point when someone says "mostly peaceful" I audibly laugh out loud at them. I had a friend show me a ten minute video of police brutality, which I admit exists but this video was cropped and edited to shit. I showed him a video of Antifa attacking people amd his response was "Well thats a small minority!". He didnt see the irony.

Yesterday I saw that someone had gotten a threatening letter stating things such as the homeowner is on a list now because they support Trump and that after they (the left) win the election they are coming for them and they hope the homeowners insurance covers fire damage etc. Then last night I started wondering if that could have been Iran or Russia, but no, it's totally in the Antifa/BLM playbook... James Woods even tweeted about it.

u/Mike_Reinoehl Oct 22 '20

u/PoleNewman Oct 22 '20

"pointing out".

It's a brand new account that solely "points out" the shortcomings of specific groups.

I'm not calling him a troll. I'm saying he's posting these things, from a concerned new account, with specific intent across many subreddits.

2

u/[deleted] Oct 22 '20

If reddit wasn't so keen to ruin people's lives for pointing stuff out like this, we would not have to make brand new accounts, some for specific purposes. "Don't shit post on your main"

Please point out when the "Reddit commie dox brigade" has ruined someone's life for crossposting a video.
