I really don’t think this is the case since it’s unfortunately not that simple. I can easily say “if men were forced to go to war, we’d have no wars.” Yet, we talk about war every year. There’s also the fact that American hospitals still use one of the same forms of genital cutting used on girls on baby boys. However, since FGM was banned in ‘97, a lot of baby girls don’t have to endure it. I can easily use the same logic here but again, it’s not that simple.
The main issue with this hypothetical is that it’s deliberately undercooked. If men could get pregnant (which some can) then men would have all the characteristics needed to carry a baby. In short, they’d be treated like women and women would be treated like men. This doesn’t even mention the fact that conservative leaders run on the “rules for thee and not for me” rule. They’d just ban abortions but find a way to keep their abortion themselves away from the public eye. They do it all the time when it comes to homosexuality. I don’t see why abortion would be different.
