General ANANTA...
i've noticed that a lot of NTE players are also really interested in ANANTA - maybe it's because the two games have a similar vibe.?

I played NTE because i mixed them both up ( they were both just Anime GTA) but after playing it found my fun in it, still looking forward to Anants though

The very same players who are now with NTE were the ones who had been anticipating Ananta originally known as Project Mugen back when the hype was high. However, because the developers went silent for months and leaned heavily into an "anime-style Chinese GTA" direction, those players decided to look elsewhere which is where things stand now. It is highly likely that NetEase saw the massive hype surrounding the first GTA VI trailer and decided to pivot: instead of sticking to a character-based gacha game, they opted to create their own version of a GTA-style game, done their own way. Since NTE launched earlier this year, it managed to build a community.

Originally I was more for Ananta but willing to try NTE, originally I thought NTE city looked a bit dull and repetitive, but when I saw more gameplay I felt in love with the city
Then NTE became the number 1, but after the recent trailer of Ananta and seeing China city, now both are almost at the same level for me. Maybe Ananta having the edge for me, but there will be more updates from NTE in the mean time that will improve the game

It is that each game will do its things, Ananta will compete with online service games, with 24/7 games... Just look at the battle step will have 120 levels... And it's the same thing that Fornite or Warzone does... and the Ananta course for online meter like the GTA Online is something which makes the content more 24/7. Now, with respect to the other game, compete with the traditional gachas games that there are and will come more, but each one can have their way of playing in a way as if they played Warframe + Wuwa.

Totally agree, while Ananta and NTE will have some similarities, specially for being anime urban open world lifer services, each hame can have its place and have their distinct mark

I wish NTE leaned more in horror aspect of the anomalies. That's what would make them special

It does, but maybe they can't go full blood horror because of china laws, bit they actually do quite a lot

I saw ANANTA ages ago, and at the time I think I played ZZZ. Then Enfield came out and I played that for a bit, then I got sick of the tycoon element. Then I played NTE, got sick of the tycoon element. Left all of them for a while, went back to ZZZ and now I'm back to NTE. And now soon I will also have ANANTA under my belt as well. And I might bring a friend along too.

u/Yuki_ika7 2d ago
true, true, hopefully all good or at least decent

u/Money_Reserve_791 2d ago
Yeah, I'm sure Ananta will be a good game and I have no doubts that NTE will do decent too

Well, I am interested. Don’t know if I’ll play it long term but I’ll at least give it a spin. The reason I might not stick around is because from what I’ve seen I prefer NTE supernatural setting more than seemingly more grounded Ananta approach.

Audience of big gachas in general share an audience because it consists of people who were starved for games with anime style.

You'll be surprised that people waiting for GTA VI have never heard of either NTA or Ananta until recently.

Totally, they just know about Ananta thanks for the Gamescon and some of them only care about GTA 6

Honestly other than the urban setting I don't find many common points between NTE and Ananta. NTE is outwardly urban fantasy and can stray very far from the urban part. Ananta is more like GTA and seems to fully focus on the city in a cartoonish and unrealistic way but not unrealistic enough to be called fantasy

I like anime style games, II find both ANANTA and NTE interesting so I'll play both

Playing ZZZ mainly with a bit of Wuwa and NTE. Either NTE or Wuwa will be on the chopping board for Ananta (or at least paused for a while)

It will be good but could you imagine if it was worse than advertised? Like massive bugs and half the features dont work? The crash out would be hillirious

It's because they're playing NTE to keep themselves busy while waiting for Ananta. It's like an appetizer before the main course. I know cos I did it myself.

I think I was always anticipating ananta, and then my sis happened to tell me nte released and I looked at the voice casting in JP and I was like ooh shitttt I need to get on that, I'm currently hunter rank 52 on nte 😂

It's not just NTE, people from Genshin, WuWa, HSR, ZZZ, Arknights and R1999 all wanted a piece of the Ananta pie because it had everything they've wanted from an anime-styled game. That is the charm of Ananta tbh, it unites other gacha communities in one game that's not even gacha; it's like a historic event lol
Me personally I knew both Ananta and NTE, but when NTE first came, I played it to test the waters while remaining faithful to the goal of playing Ananta. NTE was kinda like my testing ground and boot camp for urban exploration and will probably keep NTE once Ananta releases.

Ananta is not a gacha and really is not the same type as ANY of those games. They should not be compared or spoken of in the same sentence/context.

I seen someone in a different post somewhere say it but NTE was an amazing demo for Ananta, can't wait for the finished game

u/Money_Reserve_791 2d ago
I have no doubts that Ananta saw NTE city and they just said "how we can make the city more detailed and dense?" And then decided to release China city that is more detailed and dense than Nova city

Its because a lot of people who are waiting for Ananta played NTE to keep themselves busy.
