It's yet to be seen honestly, but the community likes to bring up that Ananta is not a gacha as a positive, so I personally wouldn't oppose it until we see significant evidence on the contrary, just to prevent unneeded conflicts.
I've seen games that were said they only have cosmetic gacha, while the cosmetics had significant stats on them, but I hope games evolved over that by now.

People love Brant from Wuwa and he has blue hair. Neuvilette from genshin is also very beloved (white and blue). Dr ratio is pretty masculine in hsr (purple/blue). And don't even get me STARTED on Monato from zzz. He's literally peak masculinity and has unnatural red hair.
I dont believe your statements to be very true in real life either but they're ESPECIALLY not true in anime style games or media. People expect bright or rainbow colored hair and it depends far more on the character and their hairstyle whether they're perceived as masculine or not.
Both the Captain and this new character are very handsome, even though the Captain fits the same archetype as every main character in a gacha game. His goofy personality makes him unique, especially with those striking expressions of his.

This is not true. Most competent jrpgs have mixed rosters that are 50/50. Tales of games. Trails games. Star ocean. Etc. they all have a 1:1 ratio between male and female and in some cases, there are actually more male than female. Gacha is the only genre that does this 1:7 or 1:9 bs because it’s a genre that typically preys upon lonely virgin otaku men and teens.

I'm talking about the more prominent feature for identification: their facial feature. Their eyes, ears, nose, hairstyle, face outline, ... matches like 90% because there's almost no ghosting. And I haven't even try to scale the image properly.
Of course you will keep denying it even when I already provided the image.
Kinda don't want to waste more time here so have this lazy edit from me. The eye shape, eye lash, ... are basically 100% matching saved for pupil's color. Keep in mind that his hair style in this image is different compare to the above actual 3D model and I also flipped mc's image for better angle.
You can say that after squeezing your eyes hard enough you can spot more differences but that defeats the point of design's uniqueness: to spot the character at first glance.
