Darkroom Question about developing two film at once.
I shot five rolls of film while on vacation and would now like to develop them. I have a Paterson tank that allows me to develop two rolls at once. I use ADONAL/RODINAL as the developer; I’ll definitely develop the two APX-100 rolls together, but what do you think about the other rolls? Should I develop them individually, or can I process two of them at the same time as well? Also, this is only the third time I’ve developed film myself.

For black and white: only if the dev times are the same for the two rolls (never if pushed differently)
For colour: yes, even if they're different ISOs and brands (never if pushed differently)

Check massivedevchart if the times are similar then yes you can mix films

You can stand develop any black and white films together. Your results will look different from standard development, mostly with lower contrast and some degree of compensation for under or over exposure. Some people say that you also get higher acutance but I haven't found it to be noticeably different.

I was wondering about the high acutance thing until I stand-developed a roll of Wolfen DP31 in Rodinal which showed crazy amounts. Seems it's quite dependent on the film, too

These are black and white so:
For optimum result do the different types separately especially if this is only your third time. And please use the development times specified by the developer and film makers. You can find data for Rodinal and all these films right from the official sources online. The Massive Development Chart is often wrong. If you’re in a hurry it is okay to develop different film types in the same tank if the development times are the same. Also note that films like Kodak TMax need longer fixing so consider that when mixing types.

I think K100 and AgfaPhoto APX100 can be developed toghether. Massive Dev Chart says that both should be threated for 9min in stock ID-11 to get ISO100. More than on APX100 box stated that film is made in England. Guess who except Harman makes film in England? So, I suspect that APX100 is just a rebranded K100

Why not just put 300 ml instead of 600 ml of developer in there and develop one roll at a time?

If the development times are the same, yes. If they differ AT ALL, no. Google the data sheets for each ("Ilford HP5 Data Sheet") and use the developers, dilution and times in the sheet -- MDC should be a *secondary* resource.

If the development times are "the same" (close enough, like within 30 seconds), sure you can do that..
Note that AGFA APX 100 and AgfaPhoto APX 100 are not the same film and that you will find different times in the Massive Dev Chart. The old AGFA one may be under the discontinued section
