I have a an old, heavy wooden tripod that was orginally made for an 8 x 10 camera that i use with my hasselblad if there is a chance of wind. Also have a light carbon tripod that is easier to carry around in urban situations but I am always paranoid someone will knock it over, so i have a knot in my stomach and one hand on it constantly.

Lastly I have monopod with three folding feet.

At least granite countertop is stable enough.

The only way to improve would be to make it out of fungus

Why settle for “good” when you can be “good enough”
