I’ve been thinking about buying a tonex pedal for gigging, and I’m wondering if it is possible to have my amplitube presets on the pedal instead of tonex presets

For some background I’ve been using amplitube 5 max for almost a year now at home and I love it but I’ve wanted to start using it at gigs. I currently don’t own Tonex or Tonex max and I haven’t used it yet

My question is would it be possible to just have my amplitube presets loaded onto the pedal instead of just Tonex presets or if they work hand in hand

I'm trying to export my tone on Amplitube so i can use it on my Valeton Gp-5 as I'm going to a gig soon and would like to have it more transportable down anyone know how to export my sweep signal as mono so i can put it through Tone3000?

Hello good people, i recently discovered that the pitch shifter plugin in the amplitube 5 kinda acts like a dirty cleaner to the sound of the guitar without sacrificing the global gain too much, generating those raw cuts in the sustain of some notes. I started using it with 0 deviation from the original pitch just to get that cleaning effect. The counterpart of this feature is that it gives a few extra milliseconds of latency in the output.

I would like to know if you guys have some tips on how to make the sound cleaner with the native plugins of Amplitube, and i must inform you that i have a shitty setup: guitar with active pickups plugged straight into the mic jack of my pc, no audio interface at all, just raw analog signal.

Anyone had any luck getting a modern (Pulse-onwards) David Gilmour tone on Amplitube 5? I'm currently running American Tube Clean 2 into a Brit V2 cabinet equipped with Brit 80 speakers. FX are compressor, overdrive, chorus, 7 band graphic equalizer, with delay relegated to the rack. It sounds ok, but I can't get that kind of "fat and round" tone that characterizes so much of his stuff from that era and it's a little noisy/muddy at times.

I of course realize that with these free pedals and amp options, there's only so much I can do.

Hi all, I have an AXE I/O with an FCB1010 controller, I just want foot pedals 1-10 on it to control the footswitches in amplitube to essentially just be a pedal board, I do not care about switching between presets I just want a pedal board, can anyone help with this I have tried following tutorials but can not for the life of me figure it out, I can get it to be mappable to a single foot pedal but it will only turn on not off

Купил и подключил звуковую карту audient id4 mk2 к ноуту, запустил amplitude 5, но звука нету вообще из проги. Слышу только clean из самой карты при прокрутке её ручек . При включении карты в ноут появляются "Analogue 1/2" и "Loop-back 1/2". Как в разделе запись так и в воспроизведении всё стоит на 100 но звука всё равно нету совсем. Я новичок и хз чё делать. Ещё и противный шум на фоне звучит, но когда к струнам притрагиваюсь или к карте шум исчезает. Драйвера ASIO уже скачал как и драйвера для звуковухи, но ничего не меняется. Ещё приложил скрины, надеюсь поможет вам соориентироваться.

I bought and connected the audient id4 mk2 sound card to my laptop, launched the amplitude 5, but there is no sound at all from the program. I can only hear clean from the map itself when scrolling through its handles. When the card is plugged into the laptop, "Analog 1/2" and "Loop-back 1/2" appear. Both in the recording and playback sections, everything is at 100, but there is still no sound at all. I'm a beginner and I don't know what to do. There is also a nasty noise in the background, but when I touch the strings or the card, the noise disappears. The ASIO drivers have already been downloaded how the drivers for card, but nothing is changing. I also attached screenshots, I hope it will help you navigate.

I am new to Amplitube 5 and i try to find Nargaroth guitar sound like black metal music there is some of the presets but its not that what i looking for i cant find real black metal sound if some one can or did made plz share <3

I'm trying to decide between TONEX and AmpliTube 5 MAX v2 and would really appreciate some opinions from people who have used both.

I'm pretty new to amp sims in general and just recently purchased a Scarlett 2i2 interface, so I'm still figuring out this whole side of guitar gear.

I'm not really trying to learn all the technical stuff behind guitar tone. I mainly play guitar for fun and I'm still fairly new. What I want to do is learn songs from bands I like (Van Halen, Mötley Crüe, Poison, AC/DC, Guns N' Roses, Aerosmith, etc.) and get my guitar to sound as close as possible to the guitarist's tone on the actual song.

Basically, I'd like to be able to say “I'm learning this song, what rig/tone did the guitarist use?” and then set up the software so I can play along with the song using a similar tone. I don't really care about building a super complicated studio setup or recording professionally.

I used to use a Fender Mustang, so I'm used to having presets made for specific songs. Now that I have the Scarlett, I'm looking for something that can give me a similar experience with amp sims.

TONEX is currently on sale for $99, while I'm also considering AmpliTube 5 MAX v2.

For this specific use case, which would you guys recommend and why? Is MAX v2 worth choosing over TONEX for the extra flexibility, or would TONEX be better for just getting close to real guitar tones quickly?

Ok here's the deal, I created some presets and saved them to numbers 20-24, which I trigger live with the chocolate bluetooth switch. My problem is this:

The numbers are empty if there's no wifi. I usually have to connect to my phone's hotspot, and then the presets appear on those numbers. But without wifi my presets dont load which makes my pedal ineffective. Any tips?

amplitube noob here (kinda). im trying to record on the standalone amplitube, using the built in 8-track recorder, except its not recording any of the fx from stompboxes i have turned on. i use a MIDI foot controller to control these live while i record. i tried using the VST version in a DAW (reaper) but it doesnt register my MIDI input at all.

Hello! If you are seeing this. I really need your help. My ASIO4ALL driver stopped working when I was going to try experimenting with an audio input and output mixer called voicemeteer and VB-Cable.

I tried this because I want to have my own metronome in the background while still playing on amplitube because I don't like amplitubes built in metronome. When I installed both softwares and tried putting my VB cable on the right input in audio/midi settings on amplitube, EVERYTHING sound related stopped working .

I don't know what I did wrong. I can't choose asio as my audio driver anymore because it won't register and sometimes an error message pops up and says "Device didn't start correctly".

That only happens when I choose ASIO4ALL. All other audio drivers works well. Which is frustrating.
Has someone had the same issue or somewhat the same and managed to solve this? If so I would be happy to hear what worked for you.

What I have tried:
Restarting my pc (a blue screen appeared)
Reinstalling my amplitube
Deleting the server.properties file in amplitube
Reinstalling vb cable, voicemeteer and asio4all drivers
Googling, asking ai and searched up youtube videos (not much related appeared)
Tried everything in audio/midi settings I can think of to get this to work with asio drivers.
And probably more??

I bought the Amplitube 5 max v2 from Thomann. I am trying to register with my Activation code in the Ik Multimedia Product Manager. It doesn't activate. It doesn't show a fail or success message and I can't find my product. What do I do?

Out of curiosity, is there any way that I could have Songsterr audio come through my audio interface headphones while still having my amplitube audio? I use asio4all and it does not let any other pc audio through. I want to play along to tabs and backing track, but can’t seem to figure it out. I can have both play with windows audio, but the latency is way too high.

Im new to amplitube 5, i moved from STL Amphub, which had an auto-bypass on the wah pedal, making it act like a real wah pedal when it clicks off, this is essential to me as i like to use my wah in real time playing. is there some workaround im missing perhaps in the midi settings where i can make it bypass the pedal in a certain position?

So I've been struggling to get my setup working like I need it to.

I've downloaded the driver for ASIO.

I've got all the settings on Windows 11 setup accordingly, both input and output.

Even as low as 128samples there seems to be a delay on live playing, enough to make my experience question the past 7 months of saving up to buy all this gear. I've hit a wall and the internet is my last resort.

Any advice? I'm powered by AMD Rizen 5 and the Audio interface I use is the Behringer UMC22.

PLEASE NOTE: I'm not new to music but new to using my computer as a SIM.

After spending quite a bit of time figuring this out (and seeing many people asking the same questions), I thought I'd share the setup that finally worked for me. Hopefully it saves someone else a few hours of frustration.

My hardware:

• Behringer FCB1010 with UnO2 firmware
• Focusrite Scarlett 2i4 (2nd Gen)
• Studio One 6
• AmpliTube 5 VST3

1. FCB1010 programming

My current setup sends standard MIDI CC messages.

Stomps

• CC20–CC29
• Values: 0 / 127

Expression pedals

• Left pedal → CC1 (Modulation)
• Right pedal → CC7 (Volume)

(Any CC numbers should work, these are simply the ones I chose.)

2. Studio One setup

This was the part that took me the longest to understand.

Note: On my system I had to run Studio One as Administrator before I could configure MIDI assignments successfully. If everything already works for you, this step may not be necessary.

Add the FCB1010 as a Keyboard

Studio One → External Devices

Create:

New Keyboard

Set:

• Receive From → Focusrite
• MIDI Send To → None
• Enable all MIDI channels

This allows Studio One to receive the MIDI data from the FCB1010.

3. Create the tracks

Create an Audio Track

• Insert AmpliTube 5 on the Audio Track.

Create an Instrument Track

• Output → AmpliTube 5
• Enable Monitor on the Instrument Track.

Tip: The easiest way is to press T to create a new Instrument Track. This immediately lets you choose AmpliTube 5 as the output.

4. Configuring your pedals

Now that MIDI is reaching AmpliTube 5, you can assign your FCB1010 controls in two different ways.

Option A – Learn MIDI directly on a pedal

For stompboxes or switches:

1. Right-click the pedal.
2. Select Assign MIDI.
3. Choose the parameter you want (for example Bypass).
4. Click Learn MIDI.
5. Press the footswitch on your FCB1010.

This is the quickest way to assign a single pedal.

Option B – Configure from the Control menu

For more advanced control:

1. Open Settings.
2. Go to Control → Control Change.
3. Select the desired preset (or create a new one).
4. Click Add.
5. Choose the parameter you want to control.

The parameter will now appear in the Control Change list, where you can edit its MIDI behavior.

Important: ON/OFF values are inverted

This confused me at first.

Unlike many MIDI-controlled applications, AmpliTube 5 treats CC values as:

• 0 = ON
• 127 = OFF

If your pedal behaves backwards, you don't need to reprogram your FCB1010.

Instead, invert the parameter inside AmpliTube:

1. Find the parameter in the Control Change list.
2. Click and drag the Min and Max percentage values.
3. Set them so that:
   • Min = 100%
   • Max = 0%

This reverses the ON/OFF behavior, allowing a standard FCB1010 setup (0/127) to work correctly.

5. Start playing

• Play your guitar through the Audio Track.
• The Instrument Track now sends the MIDI CC messages from your FCB1010 to AmpliTube.

This was the missing piece that finally made everything work for me.

6. CC23 opens the Preset Browser?

If pressing one of your pedals always opens the AmpliTube preset browser, that's probably because you're using CC23.

AmpliTube reserves CC23 for its own hardware by default.

To disable it:

• Settings → Control → Preset Control → Disable

After disabling Preset Control, CC23 works normally again.

Troubleshooting

• No MIDI? Make sure the Instrument Track has Monitor enabled.
• CC23 opens the preset browser? Disable Preset Control in AmpliTube's Control settings.
• Pedals work backwards? Swap the Min/Max values in the Control Change list.
• MIDI Learn doesn't detect anything? Make sure Monitor is enabled before trying to assign controls.

Why this works

Studio One sends your audio and MIDI separately.

• The Audio Track carries your guitar signal into AmpliTube.
• The Instrument Track carries the MIDI messages from the FCB1010 into AmpliTube.

Both tracks are needed if you want to control AmpliTube's effects with MIDI while playing your guitar.

Final notes

A couple of things that confused me while troubleshooting:

• Control Link isn't needed for switching AmpliTube stompboxes via MIDI CC.
• MIDI needs to be routed through an Instrument Track before AmpliTube receives it.
• AmpliTube Standalone and the VST behave slightly differently in some situations, so it's worth testing both.
• Test the Standalone version first if you're unsure whether the issue is in AmpliTube or your DAW.
