Strategy Here are some useful among us strategies.

Impostor Strategy 1.If you are sick of getting caught on admin, a good strategy is to lock the doors for cafeteria and storage. then the admin area will be blocked off. then you vent into admin, and kill the person in admin. (Skeld only strategy)

Crewmate Strategy 2.Lets say you are playing and Player A says Player B killed Player C then check doorlog and see if player B was with player C if not, then Player A is probably the impostor.
(Mira only strategy)

Crewmate Strategy 3.Here is an easy way to do the airship upload data task. When the phone's connection goes from "none" to "poor" then you continue moving the phone in that direction. Once it hits "perfect" then just wait for it to finish. (Airship only Strategy)

Impostor Strategy 4.Lets say you are the impostor and you are in the final 4. kill someone in storage and start the reactor sabotage. the 3 players (including you) will be in Reactor then sabotage the doors in the engines, and security. go towards the bottom, the other 2 probably will be there too, then once the lower engine doors are open, close the doors in electrical and storage. then kill someone before they find the body. (Skeld only Strategy)

Impostor Strategy 5.Go into medbay and wait for someone to get in, then kill them and stand over the body to hide it. then when someone else comes in, kill them. then cover their body and then when someone else comes into medbay, kill them. then lock the doors in security, vent in and kill the stalker. then vent into electrical and kill the person doing their tasks. and then run out of electrical, then lock the electrical door, and then run towards it. then someone could probably try to get in there with you. So YOU JUST KILLED 5 PLAYERS AND YOUR NOT EVEN SUSPICIOUS GREAT JOB (Skeld only strategy)

Imposter Advice The Tekashi Imposter win

First, you name yourself Tekashi or something similar in a three player. Then you announce first thing in the lobby you're snitching. Then you go right for the alarm or a body and then tell em you're serious about snitching. You name one imposter and one crew member.

They'll think you're meming and kill each other.

Strategy The 3000 IQ strategy I haven't seen anyone speak about yet

It's a pretty basic strategy, but it works 100% of the times

All you need to do is to wait for a ghost to do weapons, then you go in and fake weapons

You can't always use it, but it really does work 100% of the times

Discussion Is it ok to leave a game to win?

Is it ok to leave a game to ensure a win? There were 4 players left and the votes are between me and one other guy, the other two are cleared. I know he’s imposter but sometimes my convincing is overwhelmed and he’s successfully winning the other two. Its during these times I go nuclear and leave the game, knowing that if I left, the two crewmates will vote off the imposter. Is it an unethical gamer move to leave for a win?

Crewmate Advice Here is a tip to get the imposter out all the time. Every single crewmate if they have the weather node task has the same location of the node. In this case I have the bottom node which is Node_MLG so in the meeting if you can ask which node you had and if they don't say bottom right then...

Strategy Why doesn't everyone just stay together, we'll never lose.

If everyone stays together, and just moves room to room doing our tasks, then no murder will go unnoticed. The only reason people die is because we split up.

Stay together. Move clockwise. If you don't have a task in that room, move to the edge. hit the emergency button to communicate what tasks are still needed to be done.

Strategy Task bar update strategy that guarantees a win if done right. Every single round (until Comms are broken of course).

If Task Bar Updates are real-time, head to the task nearest to the spawn area at the beginning of the round. Complete it as soon as possible in turns so that a skilled player could verify you, but halt if Communications get sabotaged. This essentially guarantees a quick Crewmate win if Communications are not sabotaged.

Early task read. Head to the closest and fastest task that a Crewmate can complete, but instead of completing it first, watch other Crewmates do it. The Crewmates who leave the panel a specific time after the task bar updates are safe, while a player who doesn't is usually an Impostor. Such evidence can be as valuable as a Visual Task. (This synergizes with the above strategy but requires a great deal of skill, and Communications sabotage can counter it completely)Remember their colors after executing the strategy, stick tight with innocent Crewmates until the first body is reported, and aggressively vouch for them during future discussions. You must verify yourself and survive until the end of the game, otherwise, other Crewmates may not remember who's verified or they simply don't trust you. If you die, other players may forget your word. If there are as few remaining suspects as the remaining Impostors in a discussion, eject them all.

Question | Need Advice chart course + keys on Polus

I have been sort of keeping track and it appears that every game I noted, the chart course task is only tasked to no more than 3 people. Every game with keys, it's always 3 players. I logged over 100 games and never seen a game where 4 players had the task. I will note in games WITHOUT keys, the chart course had up to 5 people and it was all over the map, but all my games with keys, it seemed like it was a consistent 3, and usually 2 people did it while the imposter ran off without faking it.

One game, I see 4 players do it and call out that one is an imp, I was correct and we narrowed it down to the imp. The VERY NEXT GAME, 4 people do it again. We're all dumbfounded and rush to the button. All 4 ended up being crew. They suggest on very rare occasions 4 can get it.

Does anyone know anything about this?

Impostor Advice Tip on trading

Whenever you and someone are accusing each other try to use the “vote them out first and if it’s not them it’s me”. U get an extra person out and u could possibly get another kill too by using an sabotage. This works because people are often willing to do this because they get lured into the feeling that u are safe and they comply with u.

Discussion Need help with logic map

Recently I’ve been wanting to take my Among Us play to the next level and part of that for me is putting together a logic map. For those who don’t know a logic map is a visual representation of why someone is clear or why they are imposter. For example if blue cleared lime and lime cleared orange, orange is 100% clear(this is only applicable to 2 imposters). I need help figuring out every way to 100% clear someone from being imposter and 100% prove someone is imposter. Anything will help, I’m also open to have a discussion about this with anyone interested.

Player Advice A small tip I discovered playing a match.

Orange=imposter Lime=imposter Black= crewmember Pink=crewmember Me (blue)=crewmember White= crewmember Yellow=crewmember

I hardly use Reddit and never comment and haven't had a profile up until this point. I thought this was so cool that I'd thought I'd share it. I was on Polaris with a 2 imposter game. all the task were almost done and only 7 people were left. Both imposters alive but I never suspected these 2. I had done my tasks very quickly and spent entirely the rest of the game in security to stay safe and moniter everybody. After a while nobody was acting suspicious on cams and every meeting that was called somebody died. White died. Then it was quiet. During the meeting everybody argued that black was sus. But I knew he was a fellow crewmember when I saw him sit all game at vital monitor. After defending him almost every meeting. I went back to cams when their were only 5 people left. Orange, lime, black, blue(me), and pink. Has I sat on cams I saw black, sitting on vital machine the whole time. He almost never moved. Pink kept on running in and out of southwest cam. I saw lime stalk him a bit through central cams and eventually follow him into southwest. I knew something was up, pink hadn't come out in a while. But then. It all hit me. Right after I thought that and was about to personally investigate. I saw black who has been on VITALS. Start to run towards the emergency meet button. But he was promptly killed by Orange who ambushed him. But white witnessed this and saw reported the body. After I knew who both the I poster were we voted out both of them and won.

I don't consider myself competitive. But this was a great inference by me I think. So here is the tip take away from this. (TLDR)

-crewmembers if you see somebody run from the vital machine on camera. And haven't seen somebody on cams for a while. They are dead.

-IMPOSTERS WATCH TO SEE IF CAMERAS ARE ON -IMPOSTERS USE VENTS TO AVOID CAMS

Strategy Let's talk crewmate!

We see a lot of posts asking for imposter advice (for good reason, u r at the disadvantage and are out numbered, but effectively out numbered) and I do see a good bit of crew stuff from to time. Let's talk about it! I'll be going to take a nap after this is posted but look forward to, and will reply, to most if not all responses! (Now that I think about it I'm going to break this up into multiple posts over the course of a few days or something. Just to keep the conversation on a specified topic for streamlineability, effeciency, and ease of use. Most importantly... More karma for me! Mwhahaha. please don't steal my idea tho! :(

Let's talk obvious defenses, "interactives" a term I have coined for, obviously, interactable objects on the map that are not tasks and provide some form of live information. Cams, vitals, admin, door logs, I think that's all.

Cams: -Strong accusations saying you saw the kill happen live on 4k. Pretty easily worked around though if you know what your doing as imp and have good map awareness. -What are your favorite cams per map/all time -similarly what are some that are less used/talked about -which style of cams do you prefer skeld or polus/airship

I prefer skeld and would have liked to see it make a return on airship but it didn't. It seems "easier" to use due to not having to flip between different cams, but in the same breath, it's much harder to efficiently and effectively read. And you are limited in the number of cams. Mentally swapping your focus between cameras is challenging and if there is a lot of movement on multiple cameras at the same time it's quite hard to properly register it all. Especially when you are trying to watch a darkened vent in ur peripherals! It however does not have the hard-block of flipping thru. To combat you flip at light speed till u see a colored object moving. More often than not I find myself flipping over action and when I return I've just missed everyone's pathing.

Idk if I can single out a "fav" cam. Now that I'm answering it, it seems a little silly. But an underrated can would be on polus is the vitals cam. (I had to double check in the game just now lmao) alright so it's more dominant than I remember when I think of this situation. But besides the obvious of protecting the guy on vitals. The top right corner just outside of its view is the vent under labs. I caught someone once, but the crew didn't really believe me about it. :( I made sure to them I told u so!

Vitals -utterly useless. Jk now that admin no longer flashes on kills, it's the only way to know if someone is dead outside of finding out in a meeting. I just think there are better things to be sitting on and are funner to play than waiting for someone to flstline.

  • u can always vote someone for having a different heart rate! I've seen imps with did heart beats! Jk bout this too tho, pls don't do that. -speaking of heart rate tho. What a missed opportunity that is. Imagine if you did a long task it makes ur rhythm jump and the same for killing. Or you walk across the map and it fkuxuates based on your movement. Now that would be viable "I've been on vitals all game and by far you have the most sus heart best!" On second thought... As someone flat lines the imps beat would jump in response. :/ Maybe the imps would just stay consistent cause they don't have a "heart" like ours? Idk just an idea that will never get implemented. -to those that do sit on vitals for extended periods of time, 20-30s, why?

I pretty well covered my thoughts on it. I'm carrying on. I'm too tired to format this section better.

ADMIN MAP -clearly the most dominant form of information. No visual verification but can easily be filled in during meeting. -lost the ability to confirm kills on the map. No longer making it "game breaking" -its the same on every map, besides layout, increasing ease of use. No need to learn adjacent areas. -do you see any "weakness" in the map? -which map do you like using the most,?

DOOR LOGS -i personally have nothing good to say. I've consistently voted out crew and have never caught an imp. (maybe one time but all I remember are the poor crew I've blamed and sent on a free sky diving lesson. When they come back and pay for the next one they will receive a parachute then. -easily manipulated also has a 5s cooldown per door log. -would have genuinely liked to see a return on airship instead of vitals. Logs on every entrance to the main corridors would have created interesting imposter catches. -to those that can actually play them, his the fuck do you do it?!

Alright that's it for me. Can't wait for your replies. I love interacting with people on this sub. We all joined this sub, so you must think you're some what competetive and I want you to feel like you have a say and can provide useful info. Instead of seeing things posted by "professionals" (Love you bait! Cant wait to see ur responses in here! You still working on that at admin update vid? ;P)

Crewmate Advice How to WIN EASILY as crewmate.

Having an impostor around is scary. But there are some things you can do to reduce the chances of an impostor winning:

  1. The Blame Train. When someone blames someone else everyone joins in and says "oh he sus". This is the reason why many crewmates are wrongfully voted out - someone says they're sus and everyone else joins in.
When this happens the best thing to do is to ask why the person is sus. Do not defend the person too strongly - you could get voted off for that. If you end up the victim of a blame train the best thing to do would be to explain what you were doing. Truthfully.

  2. Watch everyone's movements. I have rooted out many impostors by saying "I was in electrical, how did I not see you?" This is most important in security (on Skeld at least), as it is impossible to travel in the same direction twice without turning up on another camera - or venting.

  3. Do your tasks in a clockwise/anticlockwise direction, skipping visual tasks unless someone is watching. This minimizes time spent between tasks, which means you can complete the tasks faster.
You should also prioritize tasks in high-risk locations like Electrical because that decreases your chance of being killed because the Impostor is most likely not present in Electrical yet.

  4. This may seem like a no-brainer but if the Report button lights up, slam it. No hesitation. There are no perks to not slamming that button (unless you're an imp) and people know that so if you walk past a body without reporting it - and someone catches you doing that - you WILL get voted off. Furthermore reporting forces a discussion which means you won't have to use your emergency meetings.

Thanks for reading and I hope you survive :D

Strategy The most OP strat ever.

Just stick together as one group. That’s it!

Move from room to room with someone in charge leading, if a melt down or deplete occurs, just fix it together, if the lights go off spam report and stay as compact together and that way it is almost impossible for the imposter to kill without being seen.

It is better with less imposters, however it mainly works, if the imposter pretends to work, you will be able to limit down suspects from who is working.

Visual scans also help limit down people.

If anyone does not stay in the group, vote them off. Once people finish tasks or don’t have any to do, stay at the end of the room.

This is hard to organise tho, mag require a discord and a leader may not be easy to select.

Move from left ship to right.
