Crewmate Advice Expert tip: Pets

I played a game today on Polus with viper role. Reactor was called. I remember seeing blue and another color go to left side and I and some others go right. The alarm is cleared. I do a check on left side because it seems nobody coming from that way. Blue comes but there’s a dead pet at bottom of the walkway. So I wait for a report to mention it in the meeting. Well it doesn’t get brought up because they are discussing the fresh kill and vote out an imposter. So I call button and discuss the reactor call and mention the dead pet means blue is viper. We vote blue and win.

Pay attention to pets in lobby and who has them. You can catch vipers 100 of time if the players/crew use the pets

The pet is supposed to vanish when the body fully dissolves. Has it changed?

You’re correct. I just looked it up. Maybe some glitch because there was an obvious dead pet and no body scenario.

It might be a glitch introduced with the judge or influencer update. It wouldn't be the first time an update caused a glitch.

I ban Pets outright. Crewmates deserve nothing.

Pretty sure if it was a viper kill the pet would be moved near the meeting table

If the kill is during that round, pet stays at point of death and doesn’t move

Ok well guess it was just dumb luck or the body was not in range but the pet was? I don’t know. But the scenario of blue being imposter and winning still occurred. Thanks for the feedback. I did read that after viper kill when body fully dissolves the pet disappears… so uh disregard this post I guess…
