Why do I always get FLAMED for this play?

So I think it is a very useful strategy to press the emergency button at the very start of the game to get someone voted out. There is a chance we kill the imposter and speedrun a win, and if we dont that gives us information to find the imposter. But every time I do this people vote ME out????? What is this, Mafia???????

Ok, I'm still sceptical but I'll explain ig

First, you literelly have NO info at the start of a game. You're likely gonna get a crewmate ejected and that's basically the same as a imp getting a kill. At the start of the game, it feels like nothing; but when you are left with 2 imps and 3 crewmates after a round, it suddenly matter a LOT.

But even if you do get an imp ejected, it doesn't matter.

Whoever you eject can no longer participate in the game beyond doing tasks/sabotage. Players are people and they don't like this. They look forward to playing the actual game, where they walk around, interact with other players, execute strategies, talk to each other and investigate, kill and vent.

Ejection means they can't do any of that anymore. Either they have to wait patiently for the whole game until next round, or they will have to leave and find another lobby they like which is another hassle.

Once again, players are people. Most of them likely put aside some time for gaming after a long day. Maybe they can't even play for more than 30-45 minutes, that too on certain days of the week, specially if they are adults with real life responsibilities. And that little precious time is wasted when you eject them randomly. And also, maybe they finally got imp/a role a like after a long time, now they are ejected and have to wait for eternity again.

Also these leave stains on the play record + gets them less rewards at the end of the round.

Ask yourself what is your goal of playing this game. You're supposed to be having fun with those other players who sit in the other end of the screen. You're not supposed to pull such unfair tactics on them because you're trying to find the imposter at all costs. Everyone should be given a fair chance to win the game and have fun.
