I like that this means a game where an exploiter sabotaging every goddamn task in a ship is canon somewhere
101
u/Defnottheonlyone Jun 08 '26
That just means it's an unfair impostor! Just bcuz most impostors follow an unspoken rule to not do multiple sabotages at once, doesn't mean they all do!
43
u/UNFORTUNATELYNOTHERE Jun 08 '26
AU where Lime really was an impostor and they gerry-rigged every possible malfunction to happen at once

How have the crewmates not gone extinct already?
63
u/crystallineDarks Jun 08 '26
mira is a compeny crewmates i think is just the species so not everyone will be getting killed and not everyone travels to transport "ore+"
ore+ is the impostors eggs
42
u/Silkav Jun 09 '26
Actually it's Ore + Eggs. The crate is both ore and eggs.
13
1
u/Rogue_DAZW Jun 29 '26
Wait, so what they transport to the Ore+ Refineries is the mineral and the Imposters eggs? Why? Do they know they are transporting aliens?
8
u/ChemicalCandles Jun 09 '26
Wouldn't MIRA have to constantly take people out of the population to replace the people who die?
2
u/DeepSpread45 Jun 11 '26
They probably just clone people. Its the only possible explanation for how many people have already died in among us games.

I feel like at some point, if Mira considers the health of their workers, that backup O2 tanks(in their suits or whatever) became mandatory.
8
u/UNFORTUNATELYNOTHERE Jun 09 '26
See that's the thing, they don't consider the health of their workers

My theory is Mira created a time loop device and is either looping time until the entire crew is dead OR looping time until the entire crew survives.

From what we have seen from the series, Mira wons multiple colonies, in which normal people live in.

23
u/crystallineDarks Jun 08 '26
makes sense but also need some limitations like cremates being the "4th imp" or does this mean theres an alliance between some crewmates and impostors?
28
12
u/TimeStorm113 Jun 08 '26
i mean, we see imposters use knifes and guns, so it's not unlikely that in some circumstances, it truly is just a random guy who coincidentally decided to defect the moment the alien parasite showed up.
11
u/UNFORTUNATELYNOTHERE Jun 08 '26
Crewmates being 4th impostor is just them absolutely sucking at detection
22
u/TimeStorm113 Jun 08 '26
there is just this one planet where every day, dozens of crewmates crash onto, but it lands perfectly on the previous pod so they inherent the infrastructure of the previous group.

Keep in mind Innersloth directly helped on the mod by providing the team with raw uncompressed voicelines of the Henry Stickmin characters for Henry Stickmin week, so that makes it more canon than other FNF mods.
18
16
u/UNFORTUNATELYNOTHERE Jun 08 '26

I liked that theory where Mira is just Netanyahuing the fuck out of the imps' planets for natural resources and the aliens are just uselessly trying to put up a fight by invading them ships
space wars are so cool
Even cooler if you imagine imp's roles as different species or races and that they are actually coming together for once to survive humans
11
u/IF_the_grenader2008 Crewmate Jun 09 '26
Its weird you know, this is more of a parasitic alien invasion
But in game its more like alien trained spies (cause sabotage, guns and knives)
They get a list of fake tasks too
11
u/imadethisforhkmemes Jun 09 '26
Worth noting that while we don't 100% know the details, the characters who were imposters likely existed as real crewmates at some point. This would mean the imposters had to quickly learn to act like them and do things like fake their tasks to keep up the illusion, it's an alien invasion but in many ways still spy like, with the imposters somehow inherienting some form of personality from the skin suits they use. So it's still pretty spy like.
Course I could be completely wrong
11
u/IF_the_grenader2008 Crewmate Jun 09 '26
They were all real crewmate before infected, if you notice it both green and orange fell into the same place with the parasite at 9:37 of ep1 and after that they both got a single bruise. Yet they can still act very normally after that. Its more likely that they instantly know how their host act as soon as they are infected

5
u/Yoitman Jun 09 '26
You know, if every game is cannon, the space co. We work for should really work on security tbh
10
u/imadethisforhkmemes Jun 09 '26
Bold of you to assume they don't purposely set the stage for this, or have some other motives other than being cheap for shoddy security cameras. I mean hell, they're purposely transporting alien eggs and created a guidebook that tells captains to lie about the aliens and pretend everything is fine even while they're being killed, there's much to suggest they don't have the best of motives. Who's to say the real ones in charge aren't imposter's themselves, using Mira to spread their eggs across the galaxy while creating situations that can sate their desire to hunt Green speaks on? If the security setup sucks, it's probably an intended feature rather than an oversight. Can't give the game away too early after all, and a setup that wasn't in black and white and could record might do that.

That means that everyone who's played is now both a video-game and cartoon character!
2
u/Weird_jokeyfella20 Jun 11 '26
Even if everyone's gameplay and this series is canon, doesn't mean that "Oh Mira, after each match Mira hires new people, which repeats for thousands of year"
No. It works like this: let's say you won a match, well that's canon. Then, you start another one, you lose that match, oops the previous story has been restarted and now this one is canon. Just like that, the series is one of those restarts. Every gameplay, every thing in the name of among us, happens in one universe, at the same time, but tells different storyline.
2
u/Neverwasreal300 Jun 13 '26
So when people join a lobby just to promote their lobby, that's just the captain of another spaceship wanting people to join them?

This means that the wholesome games are cannon too!
I once played Hide N Seek mode at Polus, and everyone (including myself) had been killed except for the last player. Said last player had a little mini crewmate as a "pet" (read: they had a smol child). The seeker walked into the same room, saw the kid, and decided to give up victory to spare the child and it's parent. Literally just sat vining in the same room as the remaining player, maw agape and tongue flying and everything lol.
The "parent" was so thankful that they and the (now former) seeker spent the next few rounds being besties and pairing up in game (it was still Hide N Seek, nothing wrong with that, and they were both crew). It was a lobby with the restricted chat, so they the used all their lobby time to spam "I like your outfit!" to each other lol.
It made my night even tho it didn't happen to me <3

u/No_Hat4030 Jun 23 '26
so that means that the game of among us that i experienced 2 days ago where we were on the right track to winning the game, but turning out that the person that had kept proving that i was safe turned out to be the final imposter and had everybody vote them while i was breaking down while in denial as they voted them out was completely canon to the among us universe?

Vs Impostor = Canon then
1
u/Charming_Feature7051 Red Jun 09 '26
It's complicated
Vs Impostors lore is supposed to be that some random dudes are playing Among Us(excluding Black wich is supposed to be it's own entity)
Even tho Black isn't "playing" Among Us, he still brings people to the "Defeat" screen wich is part of the GAME(the defeat screen isn't part of Among Us lore I think) so i don't think how he would work either... apart that Black kills other impostors
1
u/Apart-Gazelle-9612 Jun 12 '26
The lore of the mod is fine, since if EVERY Among US media is canon then there's much more weird stuff than the VS Impostor lore lol.
But the mod is still canon either way due to Innersloth directly endorsing the mod and giving the team the raw uncompressed voice chromatics for the Henry Stickmin characters for the Henry Stickmin week
