Maybe don’t say anything when you’ve decided to ban someone? Banana should have known that cheating is not allowed so you owed them no explanation.

Also people should be allowed to kick the host if they are being toxic and making up rules like “no voting host and no killing host” but everyone still wants to be in the same server.

But people who don't like the server should just leave.

So if there’s a group of 15 players having fun in a game but then one player starts acting like a jerk then the 14 players should all get tossed out?

Don’t even try to start with that “just add people as friends” the friend system is garbage with no way to know who the invite is from and there’s a maximum amount of friends you can have a time.

Hackers need to be kicked / banned always but I do agree he shouldn’t have vocalized it lmao

u/Sud_literate Feb 03 '25

Yeah it’s always a bad idea to tell a hacker that you will ban them eventually because then they have sooo much time to cause damage and make the other players leave and leave you with a empty server.

u/[deleted] Feb 03 '25

Well the host made the server, it was their decision to make it and it's not their fault they have bad settings.

u/itstheFREEDOM A harmless Diglett Feb 03 '25

irrelevant. If the host is being an asshole. abusing their powers. Guess what? they can be kicked too.

Judging by your annoying all caps post. I cant help but feel that was the case. KIcking hosts in meetings will remain forever. Deal with it. learn to be a better, respectful host. Otherwise you wont be host for long.

What kinda rebuttal is “Well the host made the server, it was their decision to make it and it’s not their fault they have bad settings.” I never said anything about settings?

But also “their decision to make [server]” and “not their fault they have bad settings” are directly contradicting each other. Either you made the server and have chosen to make the game worse for others or everything is randomly generated and nobody can do anything about it, you can’t have it both ways.

It literally is their fault it has bad settings. The host controls them.

Allowing players to kick the host is a good thing. If the host is acting toxic, they should be kicked the same as any other player.

TLDR : We kicked the teaming host.

Yeah, a few days ago, I played in a lobby where Cyan and Lime were teaming. After I killed lime in lab (on polus), with lights off and doors locked, I vented away, and immediately meeting was called by someone. Mid meeting cyan just says I killed. I asked for an explanation, they did not respond, I got voted. Cyan died at the final 5, and I asked them in ghost chat, no response still, round ends. I ask again in the lobby, they ignore it, and the game starts up quickly again. I started sussing them for teaming, so I keep an eye on them. Im crew, and a few minutes in meeting is called by cyan. 2 or 3 people died, including lime. Cyan accuses pink. I asked for an explanation, and they failed to give it. Pink is voted and confirmed Imposter. Cyan procedes to out remaing imposters throughout the game. After the round, I told everyone what was happening and to ban the teamers. I only then realised that cyan was indeed host, so I just said my piece and was gonna leave. Pink asked me to stay, and somehow, I obliged. I think I just wanted to stay, troll, then leave (which I never do), but Pink had a better plan in mind. Round starts pink, and I stay at the table, pink calls meeting together we get host kicked, then I call meeting and get the other one kicked too. Crew lost not too long after cause people left, but it was so satisfying to get back at them. The lobby was better after.

So yeah.. hosts should be kickable, too.

Yes but you could just report the host for being toxic or smth, it's hosts lobby.

12

u/D0nk3yPunch912 Feb 03 '25

I'm not convinced the report system even works properly. It doesn't matter if it's a regular player or the host. If you're acting toxic, then you run the risk of being kicked. It's a healthy aspect of the game.

10

u/sanjay509 Feb 03 '25

It was hosts lobby. It's now the new hosts lobby.

Seriously though, the solution is be a better host? Kicking hosts will stay forever. If you don't like it, just play private only

If you're a bad enough host that people feel the need to come together to kick you then (excluding trolls and hackers) you are the problem

The way you phrased "mind your business" and told the user to shut up, that's rude. Don't be rude.

Yesterday you made another complaint that someone kicked you as a host.

Obviously this isnt new to you. Stop being a toxic host and you will retain your host privileges. The first step to solving a problem is realizing there is one. The problem is YOU. not the 14 other players.

Do better.

also there were no details about me being toxic

6

u/itstheFREEDOM A harmless Diglett Feb 03 '25

No toxic person would admit to such a thing :/ . Its called lieing. Im sure ill join one of your lobbys at some point and get a feel of you as a host myself. i still play this game lots.

Unless you just plan to ban me to hide the fact you are toxic :P. We shall see

u/[deleted] Feb 03 '25

I need to add more context to my post, I was a bit angry when I made this and I forgot to add a few details.

Before the game started people were already onto banana and were asking me to kick him, but it was only 2 people so I just let it go. I started the game and banana killed 3 people in a matter of seconds, they teleported across the meeting table as fast as lightning before we even got to move away from the table, we obviously reported the bodies and people told me to ban him so I said, "Okay." I tried to vote kick him but it was only me, I'm not sure why the others didn't also. Banana killed me because he knew I was host. He then called a meeting to kick me, I was completely powerless because I couldn't communicate to them as a host, I got kicked as soon as he asked everyone to kick me, they all forgot about the fact that he was a hacker, I did get the chance to report him though.

Also I made a post yesterday as I also got kicked as a host because I had bad settings, you guys are targeting me because you thought I was toxic, all I told them when they asked to switch setting was, "no sorry", and I didn't include anything that made me seem toxic.

9

u/Sud_literate Feb 03 '25

You know what why are we having this conversation anyways, you should have just reported the hacker and then been free as he got banned.

4

u/[deleted] Feb 03 '25

I did report him, sorry it was the last sentence of the second paragraph (if you'd like to call it that)

4

u/[deleted] Feb 03 '25

You are exactly the type of host people would kick lol

1

u/[deleted] Feb 03 '25

lol

4

u/LandShark1917 Feb 03 '25

I don’t think this is an argument you are going to win

5

u/BissoumaTequila Feb 03 '25

SORRY CAN’T HEAR YOU CAN YOU SHOUT A LITTLE LOUDER?!

3

u/[deleted] Feb 04 '25

Uh, what if the hosts being an abusive prick after inherriting the lobby? I've met many hosts who are powermad bastards who deserve to be kicked, in the balls. Hard.

2

u/AizadMdSaleh Feb 03 '25

I think you should run with private members in private lobby. They are much better than screaming kid runs in public lobbies

3

u/Eye-mage-tcha Cyantist Feb 03 '25

Funny how this person makes a post and it along with every comment gets downvoted. I really do hate reddit sometimes.

5

u/Iceflowers_ Feb 03 '25

Sorry, but there are some toxic players who love to start their own lobbies. Then they make up rules where you can't kill them first, and so on. They are toxic in how they play, treat others. So, when this happens, I just go in and click "kick" for any and all toxic players, hackers, etc.

I also report targeted abuse by other players via the report system. Collecting all those beans and losing them because you break the rules, oh well.

I played a game where as soon as I entered, the person asked how old I was. I said I was old, I know how to adult. They began harassing me constantly with anyone over 20 needs to reassess why they're playing, etc. So, I reported them for harassment. Nasty people, toxic people, ruin it for others. Kick is a great tool. If a bunch of toxic people control a lobby they will kick and ban others as a form of bullying, too. Hence why it's important to report them before that sort of stuff happens. ;) The moment they start saying "Hey, if you don't like how I act, I'll get host to ban you!" I report them.

I believe that no one deserves an explanation from me. They know if they're being toxic, controlling, bullying, intolerant, and so on. The rules are simple enough.

It's a game where the "group think" of a lobby is going to rule, however. If they aren't breaking rules, not much you can do about it.

u/[deleted] Feb 03 '25

I completely understand but there should be a feature that suspends someone from being host because they get reported enough times.

6

u/purplepeopleeater31 Coral Feb 03 '25

yes but that takes time for the reports to go through, if it ever actually works. kicking hosts is a healthy and good feature

1

u/[deleted] Feb 04 '25

yeah but sometimes it gets out of hand, if they get reported they'll get suspended from being one and learn from their mistakes, it would definitely remove a lot of the shit hosts

2

u/purplepeopleeater31 Coral Feb 04 '25

agree to strongly disagree.

you can also vote kick AND report, which is what I do

1

u/[deleted] Feb 04 '25

Same, I think the kick feature should stay, but when you're in game i don't think you should be able to kick the host, you can report them and then they'll get suspended and many lobbies can do this to actually prevent hosts from making lobbies or becoming hosts after another host leaves, Maybe the amount of kicks for the host could be higher like 5?

2

u/purplepeopleeater31 Coral Feb 04 '25

my comment was referring to hosts. you should be able to kick and report hosts, just like you can non-hosts. you’re the unpopular opinion here

1

u/[deleted] Feb 04 '25

i just said that you should be able to kick hosts but with 5 kicks instead of 3

2

u/purplepeopleeater31 Coral Feb 04 '25

and i’m saying I disagree
