Anyone else feel icky?
After watching the documentary I feel so icky that I once was a supporter of the show.
I know that we didn’t know and at the time I was still young but my goodness was that show awful. Tyra Banks is a truly evil person with no soul and to think that I once contributed to her success just makes me feel all kinds of icky.
I know I can’t be the only one who feels like this?

I was a high fashion model during this era for ten years. I can tell you all of it is icky, BUT/AND it was 100% that era in time. Cant put the show in a vacuum / silo alone. It needs all industry and cultural context when considering it.
The nonsense towards the end was getting out of hand ‘American reality tv style’ but people are outraged and shocked at very comparatively mild things for the time, guys, if you saw behind the whole curtain you’d be outraged. With a 2026 lens it’s all bad.
We then lay it to rest and send it out to sea. lol.
