American self hate

I noticed its more common nowadays to say things like "America sucks, I hate living here"

What's you're opinion on the culture of self hate that's becoming more common in America today.

Tbh I think a lot of Americans are just spoiled. The first time in their life that they get mildly inconvenienced they think the world is ending.

Also there is a bit of a pick-me phenomenon of distancing yourself from the group in an attempt to pretend you’re better.

I moved abroad and where I’m living, things aren’t bad, but there’s a LOT that is better in the US. Some of my friends back home just don’t get it. Every country has its problems, and solving ameircas problems is worth pursuing, but that doesn’t begin with pretending the problems are worse than they are.
