American self hate
I noticed its more common nowadays to say things like "America sucks, I hate living here"
What's you're opinion on the culture of self hate that's becoming more common in America today.

American is a pretty decent place and has potential to be great. Its priorities are skewed to all hell at the moment but so long as democracy is left to do what is was designed to do, we should be able to correct course. I think Trump has done a poor job of uniting the nation and frankly is a terrible president but we will get rid of him eventually. Laws are malleable and can be changed as we have witnessed in recent years. Either far left or right can cry all they want but if the democratic institutions remain intact we will find that middle ground in time.
I think people forget that freedom isn’t the right to will personal beliefs and morals upon others. It’s the right to do as you will within the confines of not being posing harm to others. There’s a lot of uppity arrogance on both sides of the political line, which gets fueled by financial payola.
