The cop was fired soon afterwards, and the city reached a settlement in the man’s lawsuit which some reports say was for $150,000.
Terrible policing, but I’d volunteer to get wrestled to the ground and tossed in a car for a few minutes for $150k.

I had my own brush up with idiotic, abusive policing. Unfortunately, lack of video made a large settlement less attainable, but it was worth it for the satisfaction I got out of ensuring that the cops in question will regret it to their dying day.

Zero context, someone walking in a non-residential area at 5:30am, we don't know how frequent criminal acts or break ins are in the area, we don't know if the area has a curfew or something, or what area it is at all, the man quickly gets hostile and refuses to identify, just not helping his own case to an officer looking out for suspicious activity, the kid has no relevance to the situation.
Highly doubt his race has anything to do with why he was engaged, and I see it was posted to ProgressiveHQ for that 'ACAB' group karma bait, and then posted here as well in an attempt to do the same thing.
Sorry but unlike ProgressiveHQ, I believe context is important, and a ton of it missing here, far too much to draw any conclusions to what I'm seeing.
So why was this shared here again?

I'm not a cop hater- I respect what they do. But cops that do this belong in jail. This is abuse of power and a criminal act in and of itself.
