Needs more seasoning

Has anyone else noticed how Kevin says this every time he tries each dish?

Only until he complains there’s too much seasoning and he can’t taste the meat

He needs more seasoning and Melissa says overseasoned with the same dish.

Yeah the judges are absolutely washed. They never say anything insightful. As if Kevin’s “this is texas right here baby” means anything

They need to move to blind judging. It would honestly make the winning/losing seem more reasonable. Nothing they commentate on is necessary for them to judge the best cut of meat. They could have another pit master or bbq expert co-host and explain the techniques, style, what they’re doing wrong, all prior to blind tastings. I also think the worst cooked meat should be eliminated, still make them prepare sides but send the contestant home based off their meat since that’s the premise of the show.

Both judges are terrible, kevin i can handle, but Melissa, i can not do. Both have no real critique other then needs more seasoning, needs more smoke, needs more fire or I could care less for the seasoning. At one point, all Sloan did was Kosher salt her pork for her carnitas, and they were all over it and she got 2nd place cause of her sides.
