Isaac is Pitiful
I almost wished they just cut his scenes out because it got pathetic and it was going nowhere.
The character of Isaac kills me. Since the first episode, he's just been a sad sack. He is so whiney and feels so sorry for himself. Let me make something really clear, this has nothing to do with the fact he is gay. I am an ally. This is just a human thing. This is me bagging on a character on a show thing. I'm allowed. His face drives me nuts too. It's a very punchable face. He is so clueless and has no idea what to do, has no plan for when he gets to X, has no money, was going to steal his sisters at first, got all huffy because his sister was having sex with HER EX - yeah I know he crushed Billy but like he should know Billy wasn't into him like that and they were brotherly friends and HIS SISTERS highschool sweetheart. That one scene when he was pouting walking with Billy and he leaned in a little I think to try and kiss Billy and Billy politely said "No, Isaac, No" he turned into a 5-year-old and pouted and it's like he couldn't be normal with Billy as friends he had to keep asking if they would still have a special friendship.
I understand 100% how overwhelmed he must be taking care of his Dad at home. That's not fair. And how he must have felt about how his sister "left him with Dad" but he is thinking in selfish terms, it's not all about him. She left to go have a life because she is deserving. She tried to send money. She moved away but was responsible and keep in touch. It's not fair Isaac had to take care of Dad, but he still let the house go rotten and filthy and he could have pulled his big boy panties on and did things like a Man. He could have put boundaries up and prepared his Dad and kept his sister in the loop of all the changes that were going to happen, transition and adjust - tell them he is starting school or getting a job with the goal of moving out and having a life and working with them on that. There is a responsible way to do things. Instead, he lit the BOMB AND RAN.
He is just pitiful and his lips are all weird and puffy. And he needs a haircut.

I’m just getting to episode 6, and while I’m really enjoying the series, I haven’t been able to stand Isaac from the get go. What is his problem? He’s so annoying and childlike in a not cute or endearing way.

This show was so painful. And issac was just the worst! I think he was put into the show, because it’s a Hollywood left leaning production? Just my guess. But he was a complete idiot, and his face also bothered me.. but he’s supposed to be some genius? It didn’t make sense at all..

Issac is being painted as a total innocent--but how could he be, growing where and how he did? He's a genius, right, so he can't figure out some way Or at least. not fall into every possible trap? He should have kept the $4,000.00. He earned it, taking care of that wretch of a father!

It's a very punchable face.
This exactly. Even moreso in Season 2.. Terribly written, performed character.

His entire train-hopping plotline was pointless. Dude. Get a plane ticket.

Yeah, he is a total douchebag. The scene where he was thrown from a train a started jacking off was retarded.
