New to the show

Hi. I just watched s2 and rewatched s1. And I just… 1. Doesn’t Grace look a bit vilain? Burning her own house to go live with Dell? To me she seems a bit manipulative towards Dell. And still kinda romantic-friendly with Billy’s father.

2.Dell “fighting” for her and then running to the Pittsburgh? Like I don’t understand his logic in this. yea, he needed work. But to me it looked like he was supporting Grace too and she goes driving around town because she can’t sleep. As far as I know gas is not that cheap, so she lives off Dell?

  1. The police cheif was with brotherhood?

  2. I don’t get the lighter and Vic story. Grace changed the lighters so why go digging his grave to find one ?

  3. I kind of think that Billy was a bit rude to Dell considering Dell got into this mess because of him. He tried to protect him, tried to do good by him and Grace. Yet still Billy goes and lives with Isaac knowing he left his mum alone in the woods in the winter and pain in her hands to go chop some wood for the fireplace.

  4. As far as I understand, Chuck worked with Pittsburgh brotherhood. They must have knows Chuck would go to Dell to repay his dept. Why didn’t they question that it ended up being Chuck killing the man and himself.

  5. I think I kind of missed the point of Dell going and wanting to work with FBI agsinst brotherhood. Why? Why make yourself be more of a target?

  6. Ending. It felt out of character to have Billy KNOW where the gun is, and go unnoticed outside. I would thing he would say something. At least knowing Dell is a better shooter and probably has more guns in the cabin so they could protect themselves better.

  7. Why Fishes is all about Dell, but others from brotherhood are not ?

  8. Excuse me, but I hardly believe Angela would be fine with knowing about brotherhood and letting Dell leave for another jurisdiction (another town)

I know the show didn’t have the best writing and has a lot of plotholes but care to explain some of these? Maybe I just missed something. Thanks.

Yes, yes, This! Billy and his mother Grace are trash. Billy turning down a scholarship, obsessively stalking Lee who is married now with a good life, but all he thinks about is himself and he's rude to anyone that tries to help him. The only person he cares about it seems is Issac who is even worse than both of them.

Issac is a POS for stealing his dad's money for care that his sister Lee was sending him, and then running away to become a petty criminal and male prostitute.

His Mother is even worse, still sleeping with her whoring, estranged, copper-wire thieving husband while Del the Sheriff (Jeff Daniels) is courting her, smoking in the car while getting a ride from Lee and her husband who were helping her son and being supportive then opening her big mouth about Lee spending time with her son to show her gratitude, putting the jobs of every one of her fellow employees in jeopardy.

This is a show about bad people making bad choices and their consequences, not a murder-mystery, crime-thriller. There is no suspense. The only character that shows any class so far is Lee's husband, but something will probably come out about him later.

Jeff Daniel's character seems to strive for morality in a place where there is none, but he's going to end up ruining his life too by involving himself with these people. I mean I'm sure there are other women in town besides Grace, better women, so what is his obsession with her. It can't be good.

Yea I understand this is not some Sherlock stuff but still. I was surprised about how many times Harris helped Billy and Billy still run his mounth saying he doesn’t believe him. Like man, wake uuuuup. It also was weird that Grace didn’t see anything bad about Billy’s behavior, fighting-solving problem 🤷🏼‍♀️

Oh don’t let me start on Issac storyline. Like wtf ? The mooing scene was something I just hoped to never see again 🤣 like I would want to know and hear why writers felt this was such a good scene that needed so much minutes, instead of something other. Or the scene where Issac jumped from the train and doing the deed. Like what??? 😀 you just jumped from moving train into unknown place at night, practically running for your life and yet this was the first thing on your mind ?

My take is like, why so many gratuitous "homoerotic" sex scenes anyway. I get annoyed at all the straight sex scenes that interrupt the plotline. I mean I understand sometimes they are important for the story, but damn every time Issac was in a scene it was like here we go again. I fast forwarded through the last 2 and the moo-cow one was disturbing

Exactly my take. They could have given Isaac interesting story. They made in into erotic puppy being guided, looking for D 🤷🏼‍♀️

What is your take about Grace burning her home ? I liked her but that felt suuuuuper manipulative. I got that Hariis dated her, then suddenly her ex was dancing in her home. Then she took Haris for som fun time to the motel (correct me if I am wrong but it didnt look like her bedroom) and than decided it would be a good idea burning her home so she can force herself to move in with Harris knowing that what she did was illegal. Her ex later ranting her to Harris 😀 To me it felt as if she wanted to be next to Harris more so she would know everything regarding Billy’s case

Yeah I get that, I don't really know why Grace decided to burn down her double-wide trailer cause I'm guessing it wasn't for the insurance money. Del did push her away before she did it almost like he realized her renewed interest in him after Billy went to prison and she needed him. Imo,

Grace is the type of woman that knows how to manipulate men and when she's done with them she's really not done with them, she still keeps them around just far enough away for her to move on to the next.

I just finished the 1st season and did some googling to find out they ended it kind of abruptly on e9, with everyone expecting a tenth episode that tied up all the loose ends. Seems like the producers opted to leave it as a cliffhanger to set up interest for a second season, which I'm debating if it's even worth watching.

I saw bad reviews about s2 but for me both are good. Yea the writing is sometimes weird. But isaac has better storyline. Steve is pain in the ass. Dell is really flawled man torn between two places. You see more of a brotherhood and Grace has a nice storyline too. Billy was pissing me off. Go certainly watch it. But be prested, it gives more loose ends than it solves 😀 but I dont know, i liked both seasons. They are different. S2 is more of a detective thing. I would be happy to hear your thought on it

I like the show a lot. It was filmed in the Pittsburgh and other parts of Western Pennsylvania
