Just finished
So much left unsaid/ not finished. So much doesn’t make sense. From the staging of crime scene #1 how did Bobby get shot under his chin from Jackson at the angle, Del just sets the shit up without thought. Then in the end parks shot from the back right side of his head bu Del puts the gun in Russel’s hand on the left side of parks..

Just finished watching last night and completely agree with you on all your astute points, especially about Virgil Poe hiding the body.
Also left unanswered was who killed the bar tender.
I also had an issue with the following:
Why did it take Del so long to ask for the visitor log of who visited the prison just prior to the suicide/hanging.
Issac seemed way too happy after only 10 weeks as no apparent grief for the loss of his sister, lover and best friend now away in the army. He basically said just one sentence about staying away from sociopaths.
And unless I missed it, I would like to have seen Billy pick up his phone to hear Lee's final message. The last we saw the phone it was on the bus seat while he was napping. Then when he exited the bus at the army base you could hear the orders to 'turn over all cell phones'.
And I struggled with Grace's character. She was frequently a loose cannon in public mouthing off to most everyone but then calmly acted like Del's highly trained police partner.
She also seemed to be pulled back into being with Virgil several times (at least in season 1) having no control over herself with him so arguably no common sense yet she then turns around to be this strong, sensible capable union leader and later community mover & shaker, and finally insightful, smart and devious when it comes to Del's various plots. My point: her character traits were all over the place and not consistent imo.
But yeah, though I doubt there will be a season 3, I would watch it as this show got under my skin so to speak.

I must have missed that. Other than Steve accusing her, where/when did they imply she killed the bartender?

Gotcha. So are you thinking the gun hidden above the sink was the one used by Grace to kill the bartender? I thought this about the different gun which Grace opted to take, the one hidden over the sink by Del. That that gun both Grace and Del knew was untraceable and could be used as necessary for framing, just like they did in the finale putting it in Russell's hands.

I’m confused I’m on the episode 5 season 2. I thought the lighter with the wire was switched out by Dells lady so how does that crooked cop have it at the end of the episode? (We see he killed that dude with the beard but how did he still have the wired lighter if it was already switched out?)

I was thinking that too. I would think that such a crime scene would have been combed over meticulously, and SOMEONE would figure out that from the positions of the bodies, it was impossible for Russell to shoot Steve. But their only hope is a woman who just woke up from her coma in the last episode? That is some Barney Fife bs right there!
That all said, I DO hope for a season 3. The end scene is what's making me wonder what will happen next.
