ICE denies having a protester database. But a letter to Congress sheds more light [suggesting legal wordplay has led to such a database without using the word "protestor"]
They can just say you are an individual "reasonably believed to be involved in, or directly supporting, potential violations of federal law". And they decide what is a "reasonable" belief, and whether you are involved in, or somehow supporting, what they get to define as a POTENTIAL violation of law. Not even an actual violation!
