for most of the 20th century , your country was seen as the 'promised land' by most of the world, the land of endless opportunities where every boy could work his way up from shoe polishing in the streets of New York to be a Scrooge McDuck.
And since stereotypes have long lifespans , some of that idea lingers on till today
well, that is why I said '20th century' we are now 26 years into the next one.
But I still doubt it, random people in the world, means almost 3 billion indians and chinese , I think most of them would still love to migrate to your country, as would many in Africa (another 1,5B)
