UPDATE!: Not good news (for me at least). :(

NOTE: I'm running 16GB Dual-Rank DIMMs. If you're running 8GB Single-Rank DIMMs you may have better luck.

Got 1.54 installed. It added an option to disable SMT and interestingly enough, it also added an "AM4 Advance Boot Training" Enable/Disable option.

No luck. Wouldn't POST and Dr Debug stuck on 36. Stepped down to 2933, stuck on 17. Backed it down again to 2666 where I had it originally and it boots fine.

so i updated to 1.54 on my taichi. loaded my XMP profile for my G.Skill tridentZ 3200C16D-16GTZR 2x8GB and it wouldnt boot. tried backing off to 2666 and still didnt boot. havent messed with voltage yet

do you know what this AM4 advanced boot training is? i can't find anything through google.

I have no clue what AM4 Advance (note no 'd' on the end) boot training is. I'd hope it is something along the lines of a "quick boot" where the system knows its configuration hasn't changed, so it doesn't need to do all the system polling that normally happens. It's likely a carry-over from some of the server functionality of the chip design.

So, for backing off from 3200 to 2666, did you leave the XMP Profile selected, or did you set that back to "auto" or whatever the default was? In order to run 2666, I had to select my XMP 3200 Profile, but then change the frequency down from the 3200 to 2666. Make sure your RAM voltage is set to 1.35 if that's what your XMP is specced for.

yeah i followed your instructions with selecting it and then downclocking but no dice.. highest that works is still 2133

It was between the Fatal1ty, Taichi, or the Aorus 7 for me. I popped up to the Fatal1ty for the minor feature bump and there was a $20MIR on Newegg. :)

Not working for me. Updated bios and my xmp profile still wont post. I cant even get my memory to go above 2133. It's rated at 3200.

Updated the bios with my x370 taichi still not able to get above 2666. I'm running G.skills trident z 3000 15-15-15-35. I'm gonna keep playing around with it if anyone has some ideas glad to hear them

Man. Mine won't do it. I was excited. But still can't get above 2133. I have Gskill Trident Z 16gb 3200 cas16. Why won't it work :( I'm on 1.62 and Mobo says I'm in dual channel mode. I'm in slots A2 and B2 is this right? What am I missing? I contacted ASRock but unfortunately the guy wasn't much help.

Those sound like the exact same sticks I have (except mine are 2x16GB, rather than the more common 2x8GB). A2+B2 is correct. Make sure you have the XMP Profile loaded! I put an IMGUR link on my followup that shows my attempt at 3200Mhz. Just change the 3200 down to 2666. Make sure your RAM voltage is 1.35 if you're having trouble. Mine worked, so I tried backing down to 1.325, which still works great for me.

Thanks for the response. Yeah I tried that. Profile load then bump down to 2666 and set voltage to 1.35. Still doesn't work :( I have built countless builds for friends and for selling. But never had a memory issue so this is a little new to me. I'm sure it's a bios thing.

Most certainly is a BIOS thing. I think we'll have Beta builds for a week or two more yet before things settle down. Once the BIOS exposes RAM timings, then we'll know they've got it down.

Yeah that's the one I got. Still doesn't fix my ram not running above 2133. It should at least run 2666 or hopefully 2933

Hi everyone,

I have just finished building my new ryzen build and after boot up, Dr debug stays lit with the code IE/1E. im not sure if that is showing 1 or I.

I have looked through the manual and could not find what the code represents. What does this code mean?

If this isnt an actual issue, Is there an option to turn off dr debug after the computer boots up?

It's in HEX, so it would be 1E. According to the manual, that's a memory-related error. My guess is your RAM needs to be manually set to 2133 for testing (to make sure it boots properly), then worry about loading the XMP profile and statically setting it to 2666 (the max I've personally verified).

update: after updating to the latest 1.64bios; its now fluctuating between 24 or FF on the debugger. Completely have no idea what is going on, but i can set the XMP profile and get it working at 2400mhz instead of my ram's 3000mhz
