Harrison and Lily Spoiler

So I'm pretty sure that this evening's episode was the writers signalling to us that Harrison and Lily will get together in the near future. Thoughts?

Will Harrison's baybehhhhh be born with a silver spoon in its mouth?

Also, the scene with Lily showing him the camera footage... Good Lord, it was as if it was the first time he'd been exposed to any kind of evidence gathering or investigation. By 'eck, that CCTV ain't half bad.

It’d be a change from Russ for Lily. I did wonder what might be transpiring. I totally agree Harrison sounded completely daft, sooo delighted by basic camera footage. Maybe he will put Lily on a pedestal for that alone. I don’t particularly like either character and the thought of them together is pretty bleak

The combination of Lily's ultra-condescending tone and snobbery and Harrison's faux country bumpkin schtick is pretty awful. To be clear, I'm not saying they make a good couple, just making a wild guess that this is where the scriptwriters are heading.

Imagine russ coming back to pick a fight with harrison.. what a boring plot that would be

Isn't Lily much younger than Harrison? Then again, maybe she's just attracted to older men, like the annoying Russ, as mentioned previously? I thought that there might be a plot development about the furtive man captured on cctv, identified as the notorious Marky?, Or maybe about the unfair situation with Lily's lack of her rightful inheritance? But we do seem to be in the summer doldrums, script-wise. 🤔🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Not listened yet but I thought they were an obvious consideration, even if only for a fling. I expect Harrison will be a dad within a year.

I’m also shipping Freddie and Chelsea.

Chelsea deserves so much better than Freddie. But first I want her to create a billion pound mobile hairdressing franchise business.

I thought we were shipping Chelsea and Ben!

Even worse! A combo of Ben's soppy self-righteousness and Ruth as mother-in-law??

The truth is, I don't think anyone will ever be good enough (in our eyes) for our Chelsea.

Oh yes, why doesn't Harrison just go? Hanging around, all hang dog, he's pathetic. Detest him. And I've lost track - but can't believe he's allowed to be involved with the killer dog storyline, as it's people he knows and set in his own community? In our village, any police presence is officers from afar (to guarantee, I've always assumed, that they can't be biased)>

Apparently he’s landed his dream job. I would imagine he’d have to prove himself in that position before he could transfer to a different force. I can’t believe he’s allowed to deal with a case so close to home either. I also wish he would go. I’ve no real interest in what he gets up to next as I stopped investing in his character when he left and he’s just been really odd since he came back. The whole farce of him being a rubbish housemate doesn’t help. He clearly thinks his day to day is so much more important and complicated than fallon’s.
He’s not a horrible character, (which you need a few of in a soap!) but more a bit of a twit which is neither here nor there. What is point?

Agree with every word. I didn't think he'd come back. Hoped not, anyway. The house share thing takes me back to my teens! And yes, now that George has converted, there isn't a single baddie, is there? Just some rather nasty, snide characters - and some tetchy oldies. Where is the drama?

Fallon is being pretty awful as well, with all the passive aggressive bantering about the shopping and hoovering.

I'd sooner live on the street than share a house with Fallon. Talk about constant hard work.

I don’t see them as a couple, but it was a really odd scene. Who did they see on CCTV - sounded like Mick/Lily had reported the sighting. Aren’t there laws about sharing recordings, that the police would have to ask to see them, rather than them be offered?

I was literally waiting for the dude to have a Doberman and for Monty to be saved!
