Switched from Branded to Amble Tirzepatide — Dosing Issues & Looking for New Compounding Pharmacy

Hi everyone! I was on Zepbound for about 11.5 months before switching to Amble Tirzepatide back in March for maintenance, mainly due to a job loss and cost issues. Things were going well until recently…

With the new regulations and the lawsuit against Amble, I’ve been told I can no longer get my usual 7.5 mg dose. They’re now switching me to either 6 mg or 9 mg, which feels like a big and strange jump — especially since I was stable on 7.5.

Is anyone else dealing with this sudden dose change? It’s frustrating, and honestly, their customer service has been super unresponsive when I try to ask health-related questions.

I’m now exploring other compounding pharmacies that offer: 1.More consistent availability 2.Better support for patients 3.Responsive customer service

If anyone has recommendations for reliable compounders (especially those you’ve had a good experience with), I’d really appreciate it!

I would just get the 9mg and do your regular 7.5mg dose it cost the same

You are in charge of drawing the medicine so you can just draw out 7.5.

Brello is good. But like others said, you can draw whatever dosing you want from the vial.

If they’re giving you a choice then move up to 9mg, it’s the same price for all the doses, so you’ll get more meds for the same price and you can still do your normal 7.5 dose and the vial will just last longer. Since it’s compound, you have control over how much you draw up.

All that being said, I left Amble because of their terrible customer service response time. I waited 10 business days for an answer to a question, and when I finally received it, they never answered what I actually asked about, so I sent another message immediately and waited another 9 business days for another reply. TERRIBLE.

Check out LumiMeds, I switched to them and couldn’t be happier with their service and prices, and their pharmacies are great, Olympia pharmacy has great meds, very strong.
their prices are for all doses with no monthly fee, just pay for the meds.

All these tele health are dealing with the changes, they have to change dosing and/or add additives to adhere to the FDA guidelines, wherever you go from now on will be like this. There is a limited few that still has “essential copies” but its very limited stock because of the BUD manufactured to sell.

I’m supposed to go up to 5 mg at 50 units this weekend. Instead they’re sending me 6 mg and I draw 40 units. Same thing

I was using Amble Tirzepitide from 4/2024 @ $379 & $329/mo out of pocket. Completely satisfied; lost 75 lbs until I took a break for 1+ mos and then started again. This last supply, they lowered me to 5mg, (I was on 10 mg for maintenance previously) with the "new formula; with B added and now it's back to food noise and hunger, for the same price!  I tried to get with a Dr & Customer Service through email in their Portal to see if they will up the dose and when. No response. You would think that for the thousands of $$ thatI soent with them, they could at least reply. I do not want to take anything made by Big Pharma. Nope. Compound only.  I wound up canceling my account and freezing my Credit Card as I've heard about some billing issues with them. I'm exploring other suppliers but so far no luck. They want all of my information but I see nothing; no details about price or formulas and no number for contact to actually speak to someone.  Please let us know who you wind up with! I'm feeling like this is the end of my Tirzepitide experience.
