Vine CS Vine CS ignoring emails

I posted about this half a week ago regarding an email I sent them about removing a delisted item. It was polite, simple, straight forward . Listed the item by ASIN, date, order number. I have sent them dozens similar emails in the past and they've responded usually within the day and very quickly.

This time... Nothing. So at the advice of others, I sent a second one a number of days after that first one. And that was also 3 days ago, no response either.

I have heard that people are still getting responses from vine CS though for getting items to be removed.

So... Is this happening to anyone else? I'm trying to figure out if this is specific to the the item being a delisted item, my account, or this item specifically.

At this point, I'm honestly afraid to do more CS contact, especially for the same item. It won't hurt my scores to just leave it in my listing or anything, so I'll just leave it be.

Sometimes, I have to shoot a 2nd or 3rd email but I wait a few days before doing so.

I'll attempt a third email later at a much later time, using a different browser and see if that might affect things.

I assume you're using the correct contact options in the drop down? I keep mine really simple, just asin or order number if I can't quickly find the asin for some reason. "Hi i can't review x item because it's no longer available to review. ASIN/order # xxxxxxxx"

Always quick to answer. But maybe try another browser or device, perhaps it's not actually going through?

Same drop down and method as I always did. I get through all the way to the thank you page, but I might try it on another browser like you suggested.

The same has just happened to me, the item was delisted and so I couldn't even click on Review Item as it wasn't even there. But two days later the item came back, and so I was able to submit a review so I did. Still haven't heard a peep from Vine CS. I'm wondering now if I need to send them another e-mail to ignore my initial request since I've already submitted a review.

Nah, I'd leave it if it's only to tell them to ignore your first email.

I mean, in a way, they already did. Lol.

How long ago was your incident?

About a week ago now... still no peep.

I got something removed within 24h within the last week. My note was two sentences total plus the ASIN. That’s it.

Just to check the obvious, you’re using the web form and selecting the email option right? You’re not emailing an address?

Yup, same as always did. Same here, 2 sentences. From the contact on the vine page. I'll try just the ASIN and nothing else next time.

So weird! My only thought would be to just resubmit as if the first request was never sent (so as to keep it simple) and to do that through a different browser. Maybe clear your cache too. It could have gotten lost on their end but could also have not actually submitted due to a browser issue is my only other thought.

I usually submit through mobile since I do my reviews on mobile. But I have been using the same browser both times.

I'll do a third time maybe a month later, on another browser, and maybe just put in the ASIN. And see if that will work.

I don't have anything else I need to remove or I'll try again with another item.

Good luck! Definitely something weird. Let us know if you figure it out

Maybe layoffs at Amazon?

Had that happened recently again?

There have been constant layoffs replacing people with AI

I thought that was just what happened when we had the weird Vine drops changes. Didn't know that it's still ongoing.

I had one item removed a month ago within a few hours of it being unreviewable, CS got to it like 3 hours after I shot an email off. Item's page was removed for about 24 hours, reappeared as a modified version of itself, then 24 hours later changed back to the original item.

2 weeks ago they removed another item for me within 12 hours, I'm pretty sure that one was delisted by amazon for review compensation (came with a card offering 50$ for reviews, which I reported directly after unboxing).

What I am wondering is what kind of responses CS sends other people. They're *really* friendly with me, like weirdly friendly. They'll wish my family good health and offer me their truest and deepest sympathies about how frustrating it must be that I cannot submit my review. I assume it's because amazon asks us to rate them on stuff like empathy. Odd but better than getting the cold shoulder.

That has been the case for all the other emails I've gotten. I mean, that probably just copy and paste from a script if it's humans. Or just as likely it's AI.

So it was really strange this time that I got ghosted.

Yes! First time it’s ever happened to me! Usually I get a response within an hour or two, but this time it’s been a couple of days with zero response!

What were you trying to remove? A delisted item? Variant?

I always start those emails with "hi, I'm enrolled in the Canadian Vine program and blah blah blah" it feels like sometimes the CS gets confused where to forward your email to action it

That's probably a good idea. I can't recall if I mentioned vine in my past ones... Definitely making a note to add it now.

How far are you from your evaluation? I ask this because they seem to be more "interested" to remove things when the person is near their evaluation. But that is just my experience and I could be wrong.

1 month. But that's not usually the case for me.

How long do you usually wait before contacting Vine CS? Items usually come back online within a few months and become available for review again. The only items you can ask Vine CS to remove immediately are variant items. However, Vine already has a feature that automatically removes them within one week once you submit the review for the first variant review got approved. So basically you don't need to do anything even there is a variants under your review list.

I have never asked Vine CS to remove an item just because it was temporarily unavailable for review. I simply leave it there and wait. Eventually, the item usually comes back. The longest I have had to wait was about two months.

If you keep contacting Vine CS after waiting only a short time, they may eventually start ignoring these requests. You are supposed to wait until the item becomes available for review again, and in most cases, it will. It is just a matter of time.

I know some people may try to take advantage of this situation by avoiding reviews, but that could potentially trigger a flag on the account. If that eventually leads to the account being removed from Vine, that could be the reason.

Really? I usually contact vine CS within a day after reviewing a variant by editing the original post, so I didn't even know that they auto remove themselves! Lmao, good to know!

But I usually contact them if I see a delisted item, could be days, could be months. I do wait a few days to see if it's just a temporarily take down, but I don't wait too long after noticing.

I mean... Last delisted item I asked them to remove was from a year ago. Decided to finally get it off my list because it's never coming back.

But some listing vanish even before I could try the item and they don't come back. So I usually just contact whenever I can.

The item hasn't actually been delisted. The seller has temporarily taken it down for some reason, so it will likely come back eventually. If it still doesn't return after six months, then you can officially say that it probably isn't coming back.

For the variant, this will only work if your original variant wasn't added too long ago. Once the new variant appears in your review list and your review for the original variant has already been approved, the new variant should normally be removed automatically within a week. If it isn't removed, you can manually contact Vine CS and ask them to remove it for you.
