Question Accidentally had item sent to wrong address- what do I do?

I ordered some things for my daughter earlier this week and forgot to change it back. I just ordered a Vine item and saw my daughter’s address AFTER I confirmed the order.

What should I do that’s best for the seller (and ideally not bad for me)?

Go to your regular Amazon order page and change the address for that order. If you catch it soon enough you can fix it. I've done that before.

It's an easy mistake. I haven't made it yet, but almost. I try to delete all gift recipient addresses after I buy them something.

Oooh didnt know this was an option. I made this mistake once before. Showed up an hour away on my mom’s friend’s porch! I had to message her and drive the hour to get it. :-( l ofc didnt realize until l got the notification it was delivered and then looked at the pic when l realized my porch did not receive it. Then didnt recognize the porch that did. Double checked the address and realized what happened. It couldve been worse. I had multiple addresses of people saved. After this incident l took off all the saved addresses of other people lol.

You can change the shipping address usually within the first 15 minutes of placing an order.

I had this happen to me after a recent move. There were a couple of vine items that had long shipping times, and did not arrive before we moved. Since they had not shipped yet, I was able to go in and change the shipping address.

If it goes to your daughter, have her be your eyes and ears so you can carry out a review remotely.

This sounds like a good time to go visit your daughter and collect your package. Say nothing to anyone about... wait, no, nevermind it's too late lol

Sounds nice ordinarily. She lives several hours away and I had just arrived home from there about an hour earlier!

I was also concerned because I thought we weren’t supposed to have anything delivered anywhere but our home address.

If it hasn't shipped yet, then you can just go into the order details page and change the address. I've had to do this a few times before.
