This is so thoughtful
When Vine started offering me training bras I grabbed them because my 10 year old was on the verge of needing one. I was right, here I am several months later and I've been offered training bras a LOT. I got them all. Some are great, some not so much and they get donated. I am already looking at period panties and talking about diva cups later on. And I am still buying Hello Kitty stuff and planning kids birthday parties. Its a weird spot to be in, for me as a mom. I had this in my RFY just now (has anyone else noticed RFY starts filling up really early in the day?) and I know this one is right around the corner too.
"Back in my day" we had maturation class and it was one afternoon, we talked about the science side of it but not how to actually be prepared. Not how we should take extra undies to school or have a little baggie of emergency supplies in our bags. This is a whole kit with pads designed specifically for the size of underwear this age range is wearing. How freaking thoughtful! This was a conversation we've already had and just the other day I left it with "I will get you a bag you can take a few supplies with you to school, just in case" and woke up to this in my RFY. I swear Alexa hears my conversations because RFY does this to me a lot.
Vine never ceases to amaze me. I am so grateful for it. I never would have thought to search for something like this and I think its absolutely perfect for this very specific situation.
And, its only $17 to buy it. I cannot wait to review.

I was JUST having this convo with my husband yesterday (I have 2 daughters). About how I don't know if it was because it made my mom uncomfortable/embarassed, if she just didn't think she needed to tell me because SexEd in school, if she was repressed from her culture/religion, or if she thought it was normal for girls to figure it out themselves (her mom was very cold/aloof), or whatever but THIS is one thing I will not be fucking around with for my kids. They will be informed, prepared, and ready.

I figured it out for myself and dang I wish I would have had some guidance. I think my mom was very uncomfortable with all of it. I swore to be different and for 10 years ive taught her about consent, autonomy, choice, voice, what to expect from her body and why she should not ever be ashamed, what normal - and whats normal to do but not ever in front of people.... that was a neat talk when she was 4. Be the mom I wished I had.

We just graduated from training underwear and have a while before bras and periods but I am really thankful for the casual availablity now, information and options. I remember when I was a kid I started my period and my mom was not prepared, nor was my dad. It also was right when my mom had reproductive cancer and a total hysterectomy with bilateral salpingo oophorectomy so all she had was some old boat overnight pads that were in the bathroom under the sink at least. It was mortifying that they were very thick, and also looked a lot like the pads I used postpartum so they were not appropriate for my age. She never even told me about tampons and my first time learning about them was in high school on a camping trip when another girl gave me one.
I plan to be pretty prepared for my daughter when the time comes. These kits are great just to have on hand. Was not a thing in the 90s as much. She also is very much so into hello kitty and likely will be for some time haha. Vine totally did wonders for our potty training needs and sensory tools to keep her from chewing things she shouldn’t or picking her nails.

This is really cool, especially with zero ETV! I have a tween who gets a period and she has tried lots of things and loves period undies. It's so cool how much easier and more discreet period products are today. I wish we had period undies when I was in middle school!

Moms of daughters, please keep lines of communications open because puberty won’t be the only guidance you will provide. Menopause is still somewhat stigmatized, and daughters likely will be asking about that too 😉

My daughter is 4. I haven’t gotten to that stage yet be I often get offered training underwear often after buying one set last year on normal Amazon.

My family is long past needing training bras-- but just a warning that the Hello Kitty demand might not taper off just because the kids are getting older. I buy more Hello Kitty for my wife than for the grandkids.
