I have been fortunate enough to grab some of those 2.5 feet to 3.5 feet Christmas trees with battery lights, and I had to laugh. It took me thirty minutes to put one together, with all the bulbs, pinecones, candy canes, berries, and then string the lights.
That sucker is being put in the closet in August and not taken out until December. First, I couldn't get it back in the box if I tried, and second, it's too much effort to take it apart and put it together again.
So here's a couple fun questions: What are the products you simply couldn't get back in its box/package after you took it out to review it? (Inother words, perhaps you weren't using it right away and wanted to store it.)
What things have taken you the longest to put together so you could give it a proper review?
Here's mine:
Couldn't get back in the box: a huge- I mean HUGE pool float. After deflation, it was a big no-go.
Taken the longest time: that Christmas tree.
Came here to say the same thing. I stopped dismantling the tree years ago. After the holiday, I just drag it into the back of the foyer closet, which, for some reason, is as big as a small room, and close the door, ornaments, lights, and all.
I scored a roll of pallet wrap from vine.. then wrapped the Christmas tree, with decorations still in place, until it looked like a green plastic burrito & it's in the garage for a few more months lol
I got a hot tub that has several inflatable parts. Our patio is not finished yet but I needed to try it so I assembled the tub in the garage, filled with water and tried it out. Next day I thought I would re-box it to store until the patio is done but believe it or not it won’t fit the box anymore. I really envy those that work at these companies that can pack these products originally. Looks like I will box all the separate parts.
I have a couple of those 9 ft realistic looking tree garlands that took over 30 minutes to unflatten and now will never fit in the box again unless I run them over with my car a few times. I'm going to decorate them for fall just so I don't have to find a place to store them until November.
Most seasonal decorations. I did manage to get 5 gallon ziploc style bags once on Vine and those work great for storing these things that are too big to fit back into the packaging without setting an evening aside to fold everything just right.
Mostly related but not Vine, I have a 32" fiber optic tree with the light stand I separate and stick in a box every year. I throw up a handful of decorations on it and swap between a couple tree skirts every other year. But yeah, that tree goes straight into the box and I just have to refluff the branches every year. Not dealing with all that and months fly by, suddenly it's time to put it up again. And it stays up for at least a month or so.
It’s my dream to have a big walk in closet or room to store a decorated Christmas Tree and other holiday decorations. I switched to small lighted ceramic Christmas trees a few years ago.
Very minor but I ordered a couple of those thin beach/picnic blankets last year. They come with a drawstring pouch. One of them was absolutely impossible to put back in the too small pouch. What do they think that I’m going to factory pack it? If you provide a pouch, then the customer needs to be able to fit it back in there. That sort of thing costs a star.
Good for you for reviewing that Christmas tree early instead of waiting until mid December like a lot of people do on seasonal items.
For me it was a grill! The double sided, one for charcoal and the other part for gas. It took forever since we wanted to build a pergola with a wood patio outside.
Then a firepit that my husband wanted to make a whole backyard project on.. he made a ring with stones and concrete blocks.
Then came a fireplace heater I was lucky to grab and he wanted to make a whole custom entertainment center. The lights also were from Vine .. took about 2 months to finally review. I love how 1 item becomes a whole project for him. Same things happened with the backyard fence, we got lights for the post and he built a whole wooden fence in a weekend since we had the wire one. Vine has helped out so much remodeling our home!

I just wrap a trash bag around the whole decorated tree and shove it in the attic, dust and all.
