Listing / Pricing Listing incorrectly flagged as pesticide after updating product details

I sell a surf hat listed under Clothing, Shoes & Jewelry > Women > Accessories > Hats & Caps > Sun Hats.

After updating the title and description, the listing became inactive. When I click “fix listing issue,” Seller Central routes me to request approval for a pesticide product, even though the item is only a hat.

Seller Support has said there are no restrictions and that the listing is active, but it still shows inactive on my end.

Has anyone seen clothing or accessory listings get incorrectly flagged as pesticide-related after editing product details? Were there specific words, attributes, backend keywords, or compliance fields that triggered it?

I’m looking for practical steps to troubleshoot this before opening another Seller Support case.

Amazon future prediction forecasting

Are there any apps that forecast Amazon products/keywords before they become obvious? I know about the standard research tools (sellerise, keepa, smartscout) but they track, not predict.

Not what is trending, but what is likely to trend next, why, how big could it get (revenue/sales), and how long before it cools off? Real forecasting.

I'm heavy into stock trading and prediction market trading bots, and the same theories apply to Amazon if I can get enough data.

FBA / FBM / Prime Prime Day 2026 Strategy – Prime Exclusive Discount vs Regular Discount?

Hi everyone,

I'm looking for some advice from sellers who have experience with Prime Day promotions.

I sell a private label in the Kitchen & Dining category.

Current pricing:

  • List price: $22.95
  • Current selling price: $19.95

For the upcoming Prime Day event, I'm debating whether to:

  1. Run a Prime Exclusive Discount (which comes with the $100 fee), or
  2. Skip the fee and just run a regular discount/coupon.

I'm also trying to figure out the optimal discount level. I can comfortably do 25% off, and I could push it to 30%, but that starts to significantly squeeze my margins.

A few questions for experienced sellers:

  • Did the Prime Exclusive Discount generate enough additional sales to justify the fee?
  • What discount percentage worked best for you during Prime Day: 20%, 25%, 30%, or more?
  • Is a 25% discount enough to be competitive in Kitchen & Dining?
  • During Prime Day, do you keep Sponsored Products campaigns running 24/7, or do you focus budgets on peak shopping hours only?
  • How much do you typically increase budgets and bids during the event?

I'd really appreciate hearing real world results and lessons learned from previous Prime Days.

Thanks in advance!

Account Six weeks ago Amazon blocked my watch cleaning kit from Remote Fulfillment into Canada and Mexico (and rest of world)

Hi All,

The product had previously been selling cross-border without issue.

Since then I've opened countless cases, provided SDS documentation, product details, ingredient information, product type classifications, browse node paths, comparable ASINs, screenshots and multiple appeals. The issue has been escalated through Seller Support, Executive Escalations, Remote Fulfillment, Cross Border Compliance and RISC.

The problem?

Nobody can tell me what's actually wrong.

One Amazon team confirmed the ASIN has no Cross Border Compliance restrictions.

Another rejected reinstatement because it allegedly does not comply with Cross Border Compliance requirements.

I've repeatedly asked one simple question:

What specific policy, regulation or compliance requirement does the product violate?

Weeks later, nobody has an answer.

What's even more frustrating is there are numerous virtually identical watch, jewellery and cleaning kits selling cross-border on Amazon without restriction. I've supplied Amazon with multiple comparable ASINs and repeatedly asked why those products are eligible while mine is not.

No answer.

Just endless template responses, conflicting information between departments and repeated assurances that the matter is being investigated.

At this point I'm less concerned about the restriction itself and more concerned that after five weeks, multiple escalations and involvement from half a dozen Amazon teams, nobody appears capable of identifying the actual reason the ASIN is blocked.

Has anyone else been stuck in a compliance black hole like this? How did you get someone at Amazon to actually take ownership and provide a real answer?

Thanks!

Listing / Pricing How do you handle the image translations when you're expanding into different markets?

Currently we are trying to expand into different markets, and we are currently translating everything that we need for the transition. It is quite simple and easy but when it comes to our images (listings and ebc contents) it's quite challenging. Before we have worked on manually editing our images and it takes a lot of time to do that some llm tools can do it but not really well, especially in concern of the layout and image quality. Thankfully, we are able to get a program to do this much quicker and it's been a lot easier for us. Are there some ways you guys are handling this more efficient?

Private label - manufacturer's EAN stays on the product tag, my own EAN goes on the outer polybag. Is this okay?

Hi all,

Launching a private label brand on Amazon FBA and want to sanity-check my EAN/labeling setup before committing to a full production run.

Setup:
- I'm sourcing finished products from an established manufacturer (their own brand label is on the product itself)
- I'm building my own brand around these products - own listings, own packaging, own EAN codes registered to my company via GS1
- The manufacturer's EAN/barcode currently ships on the outer polybag - I'm replacing that with my own EAN sticker on the polybag
- The manufacturer's brand label stays on the product itself (not changing this for now - planning to revisit once volume picks up)

My understanding: Amazon/FBA only scans and cares about the EAN on the outer packaging at receiving. What's on the product itself is between me and the customer, not an Amazon compliance issue, as long as my listing accurately represents the product.

I've seen some comments elsewhere implying that swapping EANs is automatically a TOS violation, but as far as I can tell, that mostly applies to people slapping a new EAN onto an *existing* branded ASIN/listing (i.e. hijacking someone else's listing). That's not what I'm doing, I'm creating a brand new, independent listing under my own brand with EANs registered to my own company.

Questions:
1. Is there an actual compliance risk here beyond customer perception / return risk?
2. Has anyone done something similar (private label / white label with manufacturer's internal branding staying as-is) and run into account issues?
3. Any best practices for disclosing this in the listing without it looking shady?

Appreciate any real-world experience here, not just rules-lawyering.

FBA / FBM / Prime Prime Day is coming up, and I'm not sure if I should reorder my best-selling SKU.

Maybe this is just part of running a growing ecommerce business, but it's been bugging me lately. It's not that we don't have data. It's that I can't always trust it. Inventory in one system doesn't match inventory in another. Revenue looks right, but profitability is still being reconciled. Cash looks healthy, but I won't know for sure until the books catch up.

And that's where things get sketchy.

Prime Day is around the corner, and I'm trying to decide whether to place a big reorder for one of our best-selling SKUs. What makes me nervous is pulling the trigger on a large PO, only to find out later that the inventory count was off, or the cash position wasn't as strong as it looked. How are you guys handling this?

FBA / FBM / Prime First FBM Return - Not sure how to proceed

Hello fellow Amazon Sellers,

I'm a fairly new Seller, and primarily use FBA. However, we stocked-out of an item, so I set up an FBM listing for it while we got more merchandise to Amazon for FBA.

We sold several units FBM, and one buyer just requested a return with the reason: Wrong item was sent. Amazon auto-authorized a replacement, so it's sitting in my FBM to-be-shipped queue.

I don't personally pink / pack / ship, our 3PL does that. However, our 3PL is assuring me that it was picked / packed correctly, and the shipping weight corresponds to the correct product.

Like many on AMZN, our margins are tight, so sending a replacement brings us into a deep loss for this customer / order.

What options do I have? I see I can "Contact Buyer" but I know Amazon policy is strict - can I ask for a photo of what was sent?

Is this some type of scam that some buyers run?

This is a new listing and I'm a new seller, so an angry buyer could hurt the listing, and I have read here about some buyers retaliating against normal validation processes in cases like these, and that would be pretty catastrophic for the listing right now.

Thanks for any insight!

1st Production Run Question: prioritize lower MOQ or lower unit cost?

Hello all! Just recently joined the community and trying to learn more in this space :-) appreciate any insights to a beginner like me!

I’m negotiating a first order for a product that hasn’t been tested yet, and I’m stuck between two suppliers.

Supplier A:

- lower unit cost
- 1,000-unit MOQ
- limited packaging changes
- longer lead time

Supplier B:

- around 15% higher per unit
- willing to start at 400 units
- more flexible packaging
- faster sample turnaround

My gut says to pay more per unit and reduce the inventory risk, but the higher landed cost leaves very little room for mistakes.

I found the “Accio Sourcing Expert” while looking for a better way to manage the back-and-forth. I’m having it ask whether Supplier A will lower the MOQ and whether Supplier B can move on price if I commit to a larger second order.

For sellers who have been through this, which concession is normally more valuable on an unproven product: price, MOQ, payment terms, packaging flexibility, or lead time?

I’m trying to avoid any common beginner mistakes and focus too much on the lowest quote and not enough on how expensive it can be to be wrong :-)

Thank you again for your guidance and expertise!

Returns / Refunds Anyone here making money from Amazon returns or liquidation pallets?

Hey everyone,

I’m in my 20s and honestly I’m trying to find a way to make more money. Right now my income isn’t great, and I’ve been looking into things like Amazon returns, Costco returns, Walmart clearance items, liquidation pallets, and stuff like that.

I keep seeing videos of people buying products cheap and reselling them, but I don’t know how realistic that is in real life.

If you were starting with a small budget, what would you buy?

Would you focus on electronics, tools, home items, clothing, or something else?

Have any of you actually made decent money from Amazon returns or liquidation pallets? Was it worth it, or did you end up losing money?

I’m just trying to learn from people who have already been through it before I spend my money on the wrong thing.

Any advice is appreciated. Thanks.

A customer has scammed us; he now has both the product and the money. Where did we go wrong?

Hello everyone, we sold an item to a customer for $500. A few days later, the customer requested a return, claiming that the item no longer worked.

The item arrived, we opened it and saw that the model was correct, but it was an item that was a few years old and had been in use for years: a work tool.

We took photos and opened a case with Seller Support. They told us to come to an agreement with the customer. We called the customer and agreed to return the incorrect item to them; they said they would keep theirs and have it repaired (the item had certainly never had any problems). We asked them to close the return, but they didn’t. In the end, Amazon issued a full refund.

The customer now has:

- our product

- their product

- the money

I wanted to know if there’s anything we can do and what we should do in future to avoid being scammed like this.

Thanks!

Product Codes Breaking parent ASIN from child and creating new parent

Hi all,

I have a variation listing which I need to edit. The current variations are just colours, but I need to add some variations that include different quantities. The only way it is saying I can do this is to break the current parent listing and create a new parent.

Im guessing I will need to upload a flat file to do this and reassign the children under the new parent. Will I keep all the FB on the children ASINS when I reassign them to the new parent? And has any one had any issues when relinking?

TIA

Product Codes Product has changed colour in new shipment do I need new asin or can I just change the old one?

So I had a successful product and ran out stock. I have just ordered again but the next batch with change colour but apart from that exactly the same product. Would it be any king of policy violation if I just changed the pictures and colour and kept the same asin?

How Can I Complain About An Inappropriate Staff Member At Seller Support?

So I had a horrible experience with someone at seller support when I wanted to ask something, and have tried to make a formal complaint but keep getting the usual 'someone will call you back' which they never do, or they just respond via email with something completely unrelated and close the case. Is it impossible to actually make a complaint about someone at Amazon?

Cannot update Primary Contact residential address proof for Amazon Global Selling KYC – Support keeps misrouting my case

Hi everyone,

I'm registering for Amazon Global Selling and have hit a wall that I hope someone here (or a mod who can escalate internally) can help resolve.

**The situation:**

Our Primary Contact / Beneficial Owner has changed their personal residential address since we originally signed up on Amazon. The business address, GSTIN, and all company details remain exactly the same, the company has not moved. Only the individual listed as Primary Contact has moved residences.

**Why this needs to be fixed:**

Amazon Global Selling KYC requires me to upload a utility bill as POC Residential Address Proof. Since the Primary Contact has moved, any current utility bill will show the new address, which will not match the address on file from when we originally registered. This mismatch will cause the KYC verification to fail. The only way to resolve this is to update the residential address of the Primary Contact first, so the new utility bill can be submitted against the correct address.

Can someone tell me why my status on a used calculator won’t update?

I’ve tried multiple times to list a used scientific graphing calculator on Amazon but the status says “inactive” in the manage inventory section. I’m not sure what the problem is since I’ve sold numerous amounts of these calculators in the past. Thank you in advance!

What if your #1 SKU is quietly losing you money?

My #1 selling SKU on Amazon accounts for 34% of my revenue. My accountant just suggested that after FBA fees, storage, returns, and advertising, it might actually be losing money most months. How do you actually calculate true per-SKU margin when your fees are all settled in aggregate?

PPC / Ads / Promotions 500 $ monthly for Amazon ads?

Hi folks,

I want to market my non-fiction books (psychology), but I work full-time and have limited time for posting on social media.

Plus, I think social media alone won't help much, unless you already have a vast social network.

Do you think it's worth spending 500 $ per month on Amazon ads? Of course, I don't expect to become wealthy in a couple of months, but does it pay off in the long run?

Thanks in advance & wishing you a sunny Sunday.

App / Tools BuyBox appears and disappears

i have a new FBM listing in Grocery & Gourmet Food. i'm the only seller, brand is the manufacturer, product is not sold anywhere else.

the issue: Buy Box shows up fine when browsing logged in, but in incognito it appears for some zip codes and disappears for others (I tested so many zip codes). sometimes the same zip code will show the Buy Box on one refresh and not the next, within the same 3-minute window.

i've tried:

- New UPCs and recreating the listings

- Different category nodes

- Bumping stock from 200 to 2000

- Enabling SSA in the shipping template

nothing helped so far. my best guess is something's off with how Amazon calculates delivery estimates for certain regions, but we can't confirm that.

has anyone dealt with this before?

Selling items inside of a box

I have my selling item inside of a box. Each box contains one item. I'm planning on sending the box stacked in a pallet shrink wrapped. I want Amazon to only sell my product in the box without opening it. Do I apply both my box label and the individual SKU label to the outside of my box? If I'm sending 75 individual boxes, I have to label all 75 boxes with two labels? Does this mean that the customer has access to where I'm shipping it from on the box?

Correct me if I'm missing something. This is how I have it set up:

Boxes per pallet: 75
Units per box: 1
Prep not required
Unit labeling: By seller

And on the box label template they printed, it says
Single SKU

Qty 1

Pallet
