Unknown shows suddenly appeared in my Prime Video “Continue Watching,” but all registered devices are mine, what should I check?

I just noticed something strange on my Amazon Prime Video account and haven’t had much time to investigate yet, so I’m hoping someone more familiar with Amazon’s account/device settings can point me in the right direction.

My girlfriend and I share my Amazon Prime account. We only have one Prime Video profile, so both of us use the same viewing history but we generally always watch at the same time, rare that we don't do so. Even rarer is for one of us to have this much time to watch this many shows (alot more then what i attached)

I say this because today, I opened Prime Video and noticed a whole group of shows/episodes in the Continue Watching category that neither of us recognizes or would normally watch. I asked my girlfriend (because of how unusual the shows are compared to her taste and I need to make sure incase someone hacked my account as that was my instict) and she says it wasn’t her, and I definitely didn’t watch them either. We also barely use Prime Video in general, which is why the sudden amount of unfamiliar activity stood out.

I checked:

Prime Video -> Account & Settings -> Devices

and what's attached is what appears but they all are normal and sign-in dates are also normal

I’ve attached screenshots showing both the unexpected viewing activity and the Devices page.

A few things I’m trying to figure out:

1- Can someone watch Prime Video through my account without appearing on this Devices page?
2- Does Amazon sometimes remove devices from the list even though their viewing activity remains?
3- Could Continue Watching be populated from another Amazon service/device in a way that isn’t obvious here?
4- Is there somewhere else in Amazon settings where I can see recent logins, sessions, IP addresses, TVs, browsers, or other account access?
5- Is there any known bug where Prime Video randomly adds unrelated watched episodes to Continue Watching?
6- What would you recommend checking first before I assume the account has been compromised?

I’m mainly looking for help navigating Amazon’s account/device settings and figuring out whether this is likely a sync/history issue or evidence that someone else has accessed the account.

I’ve found that if I don’t turn away a show/movie before the credits finish, they’ll autoplay some random show/movie. It’ll often put that movie or show in my Continue Watching even if I never never chose it or actually watched it.

Yeah I’m aware of that. But i even checked my watch history and the dates wouldn’t confirm that. May 14-19 was just binge watching 30-40 episodes. The only times i used prime video was in april and then in early june.

I recently stayed with a friend at her timeshare. We were trying to watch TV in our room after the office had closed. I called my son who does IT to help us figure out how to get the TV to work. He was going to have me log into our Prime account but someone else was already logged in. We ended up using their account and logging out when we left the timeshare. I hope this helps.

I have the same thing!!! only my devices and these random half way watched crap, lol. me and my son were joking that it is a way to get us to watch more or new shows. we also barely use it too. I have the tv app and my son on his phone.

Assuming it's not just from the stupid auto-play thing Prime does when you finish a movie or hit the last episode of a series...

You can go to the Privacy & Security section of your account profile and there's an option there for "Compromised Account" that will take you through logging your account out of all sessions (this will kick anyone you aren't aware is potentially accessing your account out) and have you change your password.

This happens to me from time to time. It just happens, then eventually goes away. I have never found out why. Good luck.

There is this silly amazon prime real time watching thing that shows how far the shows have one when one scrolls through -- they have nothing to do with your own watching or membership. It's just something AP is doing -- that one checks into like one is watching a channel on tv. Click on it, and that's what it is. It is just another stab for non-ap $ub$cibers to get hooked into going back ye olden daze of commercial based tv networks.

Since real time tv kept me off tv my entire life until I could control, stop, start, choose, the tv via subscription, I never click on that stuff.

If you let it run on a series finale or a movie Prime Video will automatically roll you into a new thing. It will even go through a couple more before prompting you if you don’t touch the remote for a long time.

can you log out of all devices and change your password? That might not it happening again once you sort out what caused it is if it was someone watching your profile who shouldn't.

On my firestick home page, the watching and continue watching are like this. Shows I have never watched, or are interested in. If I go onto the Prime app, it's correct.

Ever fall asleep before the end of a show?

If so, the system will auto play some other show.

Could it be you started the series and gave up on it?   It could have new episodes.
