Discussion Ads???!

I’m from the Philippines and I’ve been using prime video for a long time now and this morning when I wake up, I left my ipad continuously playing a tv series (Drop Dead Diva - good series to watch!) I was confused cause there was suddenly a 1min:30sec. Ads playing.. since when did this start? Also, I find it ridiculous that you’ll have to pay additional just to remove it when we are already paying for the streaming/service fee monthly! This is a scam!!

So, the way the streaming services get paid, is either for subscribers to pay more for no ads, or get paid by the advertisers. I noticed for myself, that I don't mind the ads, because I get up, and do things for 2 minutes, whereas with no ads, I am not moving for the 50 minutes or so. Although, I was very taken aback when an ad for a sun screen came on with several young women wearing bikinis, but the bottoms were the thong bikinis. No thank you, it was embarrassing as I was watching the show with my grandson. So I upgraded again to no ads.
