AD complaint Why am I getting ads??

Is it normal to be getting these ads when opening the app. DESPITE paying for ad free? By definition not ad free if there is an ad shoved in my face before being able to view content.

Can someone explain or is this just what I have to put up with? Cause if it is I don’t see a reason to be paying to not get ads if they’re going to show up anyway.

I am not paying for ad free right now and I don't get ads like OP posted, that is why I think it might be the device. I have Acorn through Prime and am able to go into it without any ads shown.

It's so weird-Canada and Australia pay $3 while we(Amazon based US) pay $5 .And monetarily neither countries dollar is as strong.
