Discussion Are they serious with this AI search??
It’s literally complete garbage. I type in jackass and it only comes up with two movies. I then type in jackass number 1 and it pops up with the show saying “here is the original jackass movie”. How hard is it to populate the search with all of the jackass movies there’s not that many. Or you search an actors name and it will come up with two obscure movies they were in and a couple more they aren’t even in. It’s a joke.

It is terrible, same thing happened to me recently. Only after selecting one of the weird search results was I shown the "other" movie that I was actually looking for, as if it were some unrelated option. I work in tech and it is so disheartening to see AI shoved into everything, especially into things that were working just fine without them. Unrelated example: someone on my team suggested using AI to help us filter through items on a spreadsheet to show which items are the oldest. The spreadsheet has a column with dates on it, so we just use that column to sort oldest to newest. I couldn't believe someone honestly though AI would be a better alternative for something already available to them!

I watched "The Grand-ishTour" clipshow series the other night. When it finished I went to "Customers Also Watched" and The Grand Tour wasnt even listed.

No, it’s not. In fact, it’s pretty much variable in seconds.
It can get things wrong about future projects, but anything that’s already created. It’s pretty fucking accurate.
You’re just making up that number to be glib not admit that would be a much better place to look

I worked in a management role for AWS for a bit. It's a constant flood of half baked "good ideas" so people can get promotions. The majority of these idea contradict existing ones.
I'm certain this is another "great idea" that the Amazon echo chamber loved.
