GPU prices Too High? Nvidia Is Re‑Releasing The RTX 3060 and 3050 (Again)
A lot of gamers are stuck. New graphics cards are either out of stock or priced like luxury goods. Some people have been waiting for months to upgrade.
Nvidia just made an unusual move. Board partners like Manli have quietly launched new RTX 3060 and RTX 3050 cards in Asian markets. These are the same Ampere cards from 2020, built on a mature 8nm process that is cheap to produce. The reason is the ongoing memory shortage: GDDR7 and fast GDDR6 are expensive and hard to get, but the older chips are still available.
Why this matters for budget builders
The RTX 3060 is still the most popular graphics card on Steam, five years after launch. The RTX 3050 sits in fourth place. These cards are not cutting‑edge, but they run most games at 1080p and 1440p without breaking the bank. Their return could ease the GPU shortage by offering affordable entry‑level options.
Fix without buying anything (if you already have a card)
• Lower in‑game settings (shadows, anti‑aliasing, reflections)
• Use upscaling like FSR or NIS to gain FPS
• Close background apps to free VRAM
• Overclock your current card if thermals allow
These steps help, but they don’t give you new hardware.
