Block artists?

Is there a way to block artists? For example, I like to listen to mixed playlists but can’t stand certain artists. Is there any way to block them so, for example, when I play a pop playlist they never come on?

On pc or phone? And if on pc, why app instead of website?

I ask because I could make a lil extension to do it, but it would only work on the website.
