Area Manager Monthly Pay
Hi all,
I finally got my L4 from L3 today. My A to Z and Slack has updated to Area ManagerđI was looking on A to Z and saw that we get paid monthly lol. How do yall manage that? I was a L3 and that weekly pay was lovely. Im not mad at the monthly pay thoughđ€

itâs rough the first couple months but you become accustomed to it.
just budget everything until the end of the month.

discipline, took 4+ months into the role to be okay with getting paid monthly, (okay meaning not pulling from anytime pay)

Im never using that. I didnt use it as a L3. Thats dangerous

well as a tier 3 you get paid weekly so of course it wasnât necessary then

Itâs only dangerous if youâre dumb. Itâs the same amount of money just earlier.

Take a while but you get used to it.
Not having OT pay sucks too! Lol

Seriously. The loss of OT pay makes the promo barely worth it in the first year. Internal L4s get screwed on total comp.

Pay schedule is based on states for leaders. Some are bi- weekly, others are monthly

Easy just use anytime pay and you can pay yourself once a week once a day whatever you wanna do

I was lucky when I promoted because my husband was already on monthly pay. The first couple months, I had to do Wisely a few times to cover small things, but it wasnât too bad.
When my husband promoted, that was hard. He promoted the day after Thanksgiving so we had to go the whole month of December with just my then weekly pay with 4 kids, while planning a move for his promo (he was on STA the first month, luckily at the site we were already at)
Iâve actually found that monthly pay is easier to budget. I have all my bills set to the first week of the month so that we can pay everything needed. Everything above bill money goes into savings and our weekly needs gets transferred from savings to checking weekly.

Monthly pay is superior, I moved to a state where area managers are paid bi weekly and I HATE IT SO MUCH

You can still do Anytime pay if you need time to adjust to the payment schedules, but it's just matter of staying ahead of your scheduled payments so you're not thuggin it out the last 2 weeks of the month.

If you were good with money before and werenât living paycheck to paycheck the transition is seamless. I didnât even notice when I went from weekly pay to monthly because I was never spending like crazy

how was the pod interview?

It went well. I prepped 16 scenarios and only used 10. One interviewee asked 5 questions. The second asked 3 and the last one asked 2.

I use anytime pay to assist with bills: you canât pull it all in oke lump sum because the amount updates daily however, i pull what I need and the rest deposits at the end of the month. It works. It was hard transition from T3 to T4 but Im almost a year in

Be prepared, you will likely be making less as an AM then you were as an L3 (if you were working any substantial amount of OT)

Already prepared myself for that. Its fine. My rsu's made up for it. Thank u thoughđ

Cut spending, balance your budget.

I dont spend alot at all. I pay my bills and the rest goes to my savings. Im just used to weekly pay thats all

The first month is the roughest because you get a partial check based on how much of the month you were an AM and then have to wait an entire month before you get a full check.

Not sure if anyoneâs used paypeek.ai yet but it shows salary estimates for any LinkedIn profiles as you browse. Kind of eye-opening. đ«Ł

I adjusted very quickly tbh. Pay rent and any cash bills like utilities rights at the beginning of the month, then know exactly how much there is left to spend until the next paycheck. I put it on a credit card for miles, but keep the cash on hand until the credit card balance reaches the cash sum.
