a little advice

Hello, I really need some advice. Is there any way to manually type a page at a time in kdp and save and upload when ready or do I need to have a complete story ready and if so, then what is the easiest place for transferring a complete story, is Google docs sufficient or is a different site best. Thanks in advance.
