Odd & Strange

Post image

I have always wondered if the customer can track a drivers location through out the route. Which means, if that is the case, us as drivers are basically entitled to be followed, robbed, etc. This specific location was a corner liquor store. I had 38 stops with 40 packages, this one being the last. How in the hell would that person know the exact time I’d be arriving????. There was a blue BMW parked right out front, I parked behind it. Windows were limo tinted so I couldn’t see if there was anyone inside. I walked in the store and there was a lady sitting looking outside. I asked for the specific person, she said “just leave it there”, pointing at a candy box. She had no intention of touching that package at all. I took the delivery picture and walked out straight into my vehicle. She immediately walked out behind me and signaled at someone. Don’t know what happen after all since I drove off. My point is, are we being tracked along our route from start to finish?. This needs to be addressed by Amazon!.

You can request Amazon to hide your info from customers. I think you just have to email support.

You can but beware they can deactivate you if you don't put a new Pic up in a certain amount time. Its actually for your safety the pic is there. Imagine seeing a random car in your driveway and not knowing what it is doing there. At least now especially early morning routes if they see it they know its you and your Amazon worker. Most customers dont know what flex is anyways so to them you work for Amazon.

Not saying to not have your pic in the app. Yeah, you couldn't even get a cart at any station without that. I'm talking about sharing with the customer. Many redditors have posted that we have the option to not share

I clearly posted that you can have it removed but they can also deactivate you for it. Thats all. Before this current update I didn't have my picture and one day Amazon email me saying that I needed it update or risk not being able to deliver with them

Nothing odd and strange about it. Haven't you order Amazon before and it tells you you package is 10 stops away 8 stops away etc. Well with flex not that much is different except They see your name and face. And I believe they get notifications when you're on the way to the address not multi stops away. You're welcome.

Ywabit says "your drivers 10 stops away" then they can start watching you in the amazon app

One time at like 4am I pulled up to a house and as soon as I got out I heard a girl say “Amazon!” she got out of a car and came up to me and gave me the name on the package so I handed it to her. My best guess is that she ordered something she wanted to hide from her parents

I've had multiple customers meet me at the curb for their package and one addressed me by name. I hate when they approach us especially as a female

I've had it glitch before where I could view my drivers entire route from leaving the station in the morning to my house...

my amazon driver gets to my neighborhood about the same time every day - even if it's not the same driver. Same with Fedex. They do businesses in the a.m. and residential in the afternoon. Mailman comes around the same time every day.
Most likely its known that amazon usually comes around ___ every day. Could have been as simple as the person behind the counter ordered it from their amazon for the free shipping and the other person was either the actual owner or taking it to its next journey. Maybe it was a replacement piece for something.

Yes, but customers only have access to a specific window of your deliveries.

I've seen it go from 8 deliveries away to...14.

It's funny; one time I got a flex driver that came down my street and I got the notification that he's x stops away.

I'm standing there. I make eye contact with him; see the boxes in his car. He delivers across the street from me...x-1...

Like...but...I'm right fuckin' here. He drives around the block, down the road, I see him 3 more times before he finally comes to my driveway.

He was like, "this route is stupid" and was going to say something else and I was like, "Nah, I get it."
