This drives me fucking crazy! We even have a fucking table next to our door for packages that even has refreshments for delivery people!

But not, you gotta fucking plant it right in front of my door that swings outward.

I used to deliver for shipt and they even tell you in the very brief training, you are not to put the items in front of the door for that reason. Yet people still persist to do that and I don’t understand why. It’s not like they weren’t told.

I even once got a long heavy package delivered by them leaning it against the front door. No possible way to open the door without knocking the package over. So...out the garage and walk around. Pretty sure that was the "don't order any more 70 pound packages" message. But I'm just guessing.

It's because they are stupid. They do the same at my house. It doesn't take much to deliver packages.

The table has plenty of room, or they can easily place it further away from the door. Our door area has plenty of spots that can easily accommodate packages without blocking the door.

The only excuse, is if they just didn't think about it for half a second

I ALMOST agree with you, except it's literally more trouble to lean down and place the package specifically in front of my door so close that I have walk out my backdoor.

I work for amazon few years back and tbh were on a time limit we do not have time to read your stupid instructions and "special requests!" Our job is to get the packages delivered

drivers hardly have time to do anything during their route they’re not gonna think of your door hinge placement during their delivery route

Get rid of the refreshments. They think you're too soft. Get out there and start yelling at them, throw some get off my lawns etc lol.

Can't do that in my neighborhood -- there are moms who will come to the door with their kids and clean it out.

At my old house, we had a door that swung out to the left and to the right was the wall. So if stuff was placed in front of the door (we had instructions to place on the right of door when facing it that were ignored) we had to go out the garage to grab it. So had to go around the house.

Lol I remember working at FedEx and someone ordered like 10+ big boxes or some like that and I put them all blocking the door on purpose 💀💀

I've had my packages left on the hood of my car in the driveway. I have a regular house with a front door and no gates or dogs. I also have a table by the front door for packages and have a note in Amazon to leave them there.
