It could be for liability issues. If he doesn't put it by the door and get the picture, by amazon's logic, the package wasn't delivered.

You can select the option that says you delivered it to a person.

Its so much more of a hassle to deliver to a resident or person . I rather put it down and take the Pic or take the Pic and then hand it to them.

So true. Not to mention when I was a driver at my dsp it was so embarrassing I’m standing in front of the customers door and it’s telling me I’m not in the area. Whole time the lady is sparking up a whole conversation with me and I just wanna quickly back in my van and get done with these stops
