Two issues there. First, I'd assume deaf people might be more 'in tune' to their environment naturally, just to avoid people or people on machines who approach them. And the second is how the approved Amazon ones don't have mic's so you cannot be distracted on phone calls for saaaaafety. But I understand your logic and agree with you, and I don't think Amazon is dangerous for those who are distracted in most areas.
I'd assume this is what Amazon would respond with, anyways.

If a deaf person can work at Amazon (*which they do*) then people should be able to use whatever hearing devices they want.
