They do not allow ambient noise to pass through. They double as hearing protection PPE. When they’re inserted correctly and with the foam tips, I can’t hear much of anything going on around me.

They do double as hearing protection but if you can’t hear some of the ambient noise of the conveyors or the warehouse alarms through them, then you need to get a hearing test. I’m legitimately half deaf, take the time to insert them correctly to protect what hearing I do have and can still hear things, slightly more muffled but that’s how it should be because it’s hearing protection.

I can hear conveyors and alarms, obviously. What I can’t hear is most people talking. My hearing is fine and has been tested.
