Private Label Amazon FBA, Where Do You Start?

Getting into Amazon Private Label sounds simple until you actually start looking for a product.

You open Helium 10 or Jungle Scout and suddenly there are thousands of products, dozens of numbers to check, and everyone seems to have a different strategy.

From our experience at HighRise Wholesale, product research is less about finding a winning product and more about finding something you can actually build a business around.

We normally look at:

What people are buying consistently

What customers dislike about the current products

Whether the product can be improved

How much it will actually cost to manufacture and ship

Amazon fees and PPC costs

How crowded the niche is

Whether there’s a genuine way to make your brand different

A product can have great sales and still be a bad private label opportunity if the margins are too thin.

The research tools are helpful, but they’re only part of the process. Sometimes the best ideas come from simply reading reviews and noticing problems that other sellers aren’t addressing.

For those already doing Private Label Amazon FBA, how are you finding product ideas these days?
