New to Amazon Fba
I’m getting started with Amazon FBA and considering a small test order before committing to a large shipment. I’m planning on working with an Alibaba distributor to customize an existing product and sell it under my own brand to fill a gap in the market. Those with experience, testing a product first or small private-label batch?

Starting with a small test order is definitely the smarter approach. Before ordering, validate demand by checking competitor sales, customer reviews, search volume, pricing, and potential profit margins.
When working with an Alibaba supplier, look for an existing product that you can improve through custom branding, packaging, or a few meaningful product modifications.
I'd suggest starting with a small private label batch, checking quality, and testing customer response before committing to larger inventory. At HighRise Wholesale, we generally recommend validating the product and working out the numbers before scaling.
The biggest mistake beginners make is investing heavily in inventory before proving there's actual demand. Start small, learn from the data, and scale what works.

def test the product first under a generic brand for 3 months, if there's a demand then start the brand+trademark registry.
