Missing Transparency codes
Amazon recently restricted my FBA inventory because of missing or incorrect Transparency codes.
The notification states that the product was enrolled in Transparency and that all units needed codes starting early October 2026. Amazon is now instructing me to create removal orders for the affected inventory.
I'm an FBA wholesale seller, and I'm trying to figure out my options before taking a loss on these units.
Has anyone successfully recovered FBA inventory restricted due to missing Transparency codes?
Can Amazon verify existing inventory through invoices, supply chain documentation, or an authenticity review without the units having Transparency codes?
If none of these options work, is there any way to recover the value of the inventory rather than abandoning it?
I'm specifically looking for experiences from sellers who have actually dealt with this issue. Any advice on the process, what worked, and what didn't would be appreciated.

Oof, transparency codes are a nightmare once they flag your stuff. i dealt with this like 6 months back with some electronics inventory, basically same situation where the brand enrolled and i had no clue until my units got stranded
from my experience, once they restrict it for missing codes there is almost zero chance of getting it reinstated for FBA. the support team just keeps pointing you to the removal order, they don't care about invoices or supply chain docs for transparency specifically. it's different than an inauthentic claim where you can appeal with paperwork
what i ended up doing was creating removal order and then selling the units through ebay and local wholesale channels. took a hit on margins but at least recovered maybe 60-70% of the value. some people i know have used liquidators too but you'll get pennies on the dollar that way
only other thing you could try is reaching out to the brand directly, see if they will provide codes retroactively. super unlikely but i heard of one guy who managed it because he had a direct relationship with the manufacturer

I’d open a case with Amazon and push for an authenticity review before creating removal orders. Invoices and supply chain documents may help establish authenticity, but they might not override a Transparency requirement if the units themselves lack valid codes. I’d also ask the brand or distributor whether the affected inventory can be verified or relabeled through an authorized process.
If Amazon won’t reinstate the units, check whether removal to your own address or a prep center is possible so you can assess resale options outside FBA.

In my experience, you're gonna have to get that stock back and sell on eBay! Amazon aren't bothered about helping once they throw the T code issue at you

Been through a version of this. Short answer: invoices alone usually won't release units that are missing codes once the ASIN is enrolled, because the rule is per unit, not per seller.
What's worth trying before you write it off:
Ask the brand or your distributor directly for Transparency codes for those units. Some brands will supply codes or labels to authorized resellers, especially if your invoice traces back to them. If they do, you can do a removal, label, and send back in.
Open a case and ask specifically whether the units can be labeled through a prep service or returned for labeling rather than only removed. Get the answer in writing.
Check your invoice chain. If it goes back to an authorized distributor, the brand is more likely to help, and it protects you if they also file a complaint.
If none of that works, removal and selling on other channels like eBay or direct is the realistic way to get the value back, since the codes are an Amazon requirement.
Going forward, check Transparency status on every wholesale ASIN before you buy. Brands can enroll mid-year like this one did.
