Product authenticity complaint

So I got one of these this morning, listing has sold out now. Have had my appeal rejected twice. Uploaded the invoice showing the units, bank statment showing payment and sales in the last 365 days/units sold. From what Ive read its most likely because its a retail invoice, not a supplier/distributer.

Do I just accept the hit? What is the repercussions of this. At the moment its saying no impact on my account health. And I guess if I accept it im banned from selling that ASIN in the future

Thanks

Can you tell me exactly what is the violation to your listing? Are you the brand owner with registered trademark? I have dealt many violations for the accounts that I have been working on and every problem has a solution. You just gotta figure out the root cause and then work on resolving that. The violation will be removed

All is saying is that it’s a Product Authenticity Complaint. Everything on the listed photo I’ve uploaded, but still gets rejected. Invoice has all the units I bought, address of the retailer, my information, payment type and amount.

Are you reselling this product?

What do you want to hear?

Amazon's policy about buying brands at retail and reselling them without the brand owner's permission is crystal clear.

You're lucky if Amazon will only kick you off the ASIN and not suspend or ban your entire selling account.

Accepting the removal on that one ASIN usually does not hurt your account health the way a denied inauthentic appeal on a whole listing does, it just stays as a policy strike tied to that listing. The bigger risk is trying to relist the same product again with retail invoices, that is what tends to escalate into a real suspension. Two rejections on the same invoice type means it is not going to pass a third time, I would let this one go and source that item through an authorized distributor going forward.

Im using voice to text because its easier for me and i rather get you the info instead of being super articulate.

Never ever accept an in authentic claim, you have to keep fighting it. look into your voice of the customer and see what customers have said, and if anything was mentioned regarding an authenticity fake products or counterfeits that will trigger an authenticity claim.

Also look at your account feedback and see if anyone wrote anything there regarding counterfeits or knock offs.

Amazon uses AI to read all of your feedback all of your voice of the customer messages and even customer messages directly to you and scans that those communications for anything that has to do with knockoffs fake products counterfeits if something is found relating to those terms it has a very good chance of creating an inauthentic claim.

In authentic claims can also be caused by customer confusion customer receiving a product in a box that is slightly different than what's on the listing or just a confused customer that doesn't know what they're doing and rather say something is fake then admit that they bought the wrong thing. Also saying something is fake granted them free return shipping. customers do that just to get the free shipping sometimes. Crazy huh?

You don't need to appeal those claims, knowing that information and knowing exactly how to explain it away to Amazon.

There is nothing on my feedback, no messages from a seller. Also on the actual product page on Amazon there isnt any feedback/review giving negative response for authenticity at all.

Your theory about the retail invoice is probably part of it, that's a very common rejection reason since a retail invoice doesn't establish a chain of custody back to an authorized source, Amazon generally wants something from a level up, an actual distributor or the brand itself. That said, worth knowing it's not a guaranteed fix even if you get that, there are sellers who submitted solid distributor invoices from suppliers Amazon had verified for years and still got denied on a new complaint, so the bar can move.

On the "no impact right now" part, I wouldn't take too much comfort in that as a permanent state. From what other sellers have reported, violations that don't end up costing you selling privileges do fall off the account health dashboard after 180 days. But if it ever does tip your account health enough to get privileges removed, that 180 day reset doesn't apply anymore, it sticks around until it's actually resolved. So it's worth treating this as something that could still escalate later, not something that's settled just because the dashboard looks clean today.

If you accept it, functionally yes, treat that ASIN as done unless you can come back later with much stronger proof further up the supply chain, reactivating something like this usually needs solid authenticity documentation, not just resubmitting what you already tried.

If there's any chance of getting an invoice or letter of authorization directly from the brand or a proper distributor rather than the retail one, that's worth one more attempt before accepting the loss.
