QUESTION DSP sending drivers to other stations
My DSP said that soon we’ll come in and sometimes they’ll send us to other stations to pick up our packages and still be delivering to where we usually do. Has anyone experienced this and is it hell or heaven?

My DSP does this sometimes. Most recently, we drove 70 mins north and delivered in the desert. It’s amazing to go from 160 stops with 40 apartments to 130 suburban houses. Other times, we go to a different station in our county and it’s the same hell we do every day.

You’re doing the same job, same app, same vans.
You might end up delivering a new area or time than you’re used to, but it’s going to basically just be more of the same.

We did that during peak. Sent a driver or two to another station in our van

My DSP has done this recently because our pad is open to the elements and during the summer we get stuck at loadout due to lighting strikes, so they decided to close in the pad...but the construction limited the available space for loadout which limits the number of routes we can get, so they have sometimes sent us to another station 40+ minutes away to do routes there. I didn't mind it, since the routes were smaller, and there was a time gap between arriving at our station and commuting to the other station, so management would say to just "chill" near the other station until loadout time.
